Psalms 52

CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS

3 God gazed down from heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who were considering or seeking God.	3 ¿Por qué te jactas de tu malicia, hombre prepotente y sin piedad?
4 All have gone astray; together they have become useless. There is no one who does good; there is not even one.	4 Estás todo el día tramando maldades, tu lengua es como navaja afilada, y no haces más que engañar.
5 Will they never learn: all those who work iniquity, who devour my people like a meal of bread?	5 Prefieres el mal al bien, la mentira a la verdad;
6 They have not called upon God. In that place, they have trembled in fear, where there was no fear. For God has scattered the bones of those who please men. They have been confounded, because God has spurned them.	6 amas las palabras hirientes, ¡lengua mentirosa!
7 Who will grant from Zion the salvation of Israel? Jacob will exult, when God will convert the captivity of his people; and Israel will rejoice.	7 Por eso Dios te derribará, te destruirá para siempre, te arrojará de tu carpa, te arrancará de la tierra de los vivientes.
	8 Al ver esto, los justos sentirán temor y se reirán de él, diciendo:
	9 «Este es el hombre que no puso su refugio en Dios, sino que confió en sus muchas riquezas y se envalentonó por su maldad».
	10 Yo, en cambio, como un olivo frondoso en la Casa de Dios, he puesto para siempre mi confianza en la misericordia de Dios.
	11 Te daré gracias eternamente por lo que has hecho, y proclamaré la bondad de tu Nombre delante de tus fieles.
