Psalms 142

1 A Psalm of David, when his son Absalom was pursuing him. O Lord, hear my prayer. Incline your ear to my supplication in your truth. Heed me according to your justice.	1 Salmo di David, quando Assalon suo figliuolo il perseguitava. Signore, esaudi la orazione mia; con l'orecchie ricevi la mia preghiera nella tua verità; esaudi me nella giustizia tua.
2 And do not enter into judgment with your servant. For all the living will not be justified in your sight.	2 E non entrare nel giudicio col servo tuo; per che non sarà giustificato ogni vivente nel conspetto tuo.
3 For the enemy has pursued my soul. He has lowered my life to the earth. He has stationed me in darkness, like the dead of ages past.	3 Però che l' inimico ha perseguitato l'anima mia; umiliò in terra la vita mia. Collocommi nelle tenebre, come li morti del mondo;
4 And my spirit has been in anguish over me. My heart within me has been disturbed.	4 e ansiato è sopra di me il spirito mio; in me turbato è il cuore mio.
5 I have called to mind the days of antiquity. I have been meditating on all your works. I have meditated on the workings of your hands.	5 Sonmi arricordato dei giorni antiqui, ho pensato in tutte l' opere tue; pensavo ne' fatti delle mani tue.
6 I have extended my hands to you. My soul is like a land without water before you.	6 A te ho sparso le mani mie; e l'anima mia a te è come terra senza acqua.
7 O Lord, heed me quickly. My spirit has grown faint. Do not turn your face away from me, lest I become like those who descend into the pit.	7 Velocemente esaudi me, Signore; venuto è meno il spirito mio. Non volgere da me la faccia tua; e sarò simile alli descendenti nel lago.
8 Make me hear your mercy in the morning. For I have hoped in you. Make known to me the way that I should walk. For I have lifted up my soul to you.	8 Per tempo fammi udire la misericordia tua; per che in te sperai. A me manifesta la via per la quale io vadi; per che a te levai l' anima mia.
9 O Lord, rescue me from my enemies. I have fled to you.	9 Signore, sonmi ridotto a te; dalli nemici miei libera me;
10 Teach me to do your will. For you are my God. Your good Spirit will lead me into the righteous land.	10 insegnami a fare la volontà tua, per che sei tu Iddio mio. Menimi nella terra dritta il spirito buono tuo;
11 For the sake of your name, O Lord, you will revive me in your fairness. You will lead my soul out of tribulation.	11 vivifichera'mi per il nome tuo, Signore, nella equità tua. Dalla tribulazione trarrai l'anima mia;
12 And you will scatter my enemies in your mercy. And you will destroy all those who afflict my soul. For I am your servant.	12 e disperderai li miei nemici nella misericordia tua. E perderai tutti che tribulano l'anima mia; per che io son servo tuo.
