Mark 2

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 When he returned to Capernaum, some time later word went round that he was in the house;	1 Unos días después, Jesús volvió a Cafarnaúm y se difundió la noticia de que estaba en la casa.
2 and so many people collected that there was no room left, even in front of the door. He was preachingthe word to them	2 Se reunió tanta gente, que no había más lugar ni siguiera delante de la puerta, y él les anunciaba la Palabra.
3 when some people came bringing him a paralytic carried by four men,	3 Le trajeron entonces a un paralítico, llevándolo entre cuatro hombres.
4 but as they could not get the man to him through the crowd, they stripped the roof over the place whereJesus was; and when they had made an opening, they lowered the stretcher on which the paralytic lay.	4 Y como no podían acercarlo a él, a causa de la multitud, levantaron el techo sobre el lugar donde Jesús estaba, y haciendo un agujero descolgaron la camilla con el paralítico.
5 Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, 'My child, your sins are forgiven.'	5 Al ver la fe de esos hombres, Jesús dijo al paralítico: «Hijo, tus pecados te son perdonados».
6 Now some scribes were sitting there, and they thought to themselves,	6 Unos escribas que estaban sentados allí pensaban en su interior:
7 'How can this man talk like that? He is being blasphemous. Who but God can forgive sins?'	7 «¿Qué está diciendo este hombre? ¡Está blasfemando! ¿Quién puede perdonar los pecados, sino sólo Dios?
8 And at once, Jesus, inwardly aware that this is what they were thinking, said to them, 'Why do you havethese thoughts in your hearts?	8 Jesús, advirtiendo en seguida que pensaban así, les dijo: «¿Qué están pensando?
9 Which of these is easier: to say to the paralytic, "Your sins are forgiven" or to say, "Get up, pick up your stretcher and walk"?	9 ¿Qué es más fácil, decir al paralítico: "Tus pecados te son perdonados", o "Levántate, toma tu camilla y camina"?
10 But to prove to you that the Son of man has authority to forgive sins on earth' --	10 Para que ustedes sepan que el Hijo de hombre tiene sobre la tierra el poder de perdonar los pecados
11 he said to the paralytic-'I order you: get up, pick up your stretcher, and go off home.'	11 –dijo al paralítico– yo te lo mando, levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a tu casa».
12 And the man got up, and at once picked up his stretcher and walked out in front of everyone, so thatthey were al astonished and praised God saying, 'We have never seen anything like this.'	12 El se levantó en seguida, tomó su camilla y salió a la vista de todos. La gente quedó asombrada y glorificaba a Dios, diciendo: «Nunca hemos visto nada igual».
13 He went out again to the shore of the lake; and al the people came to him, and he taught them.	13 Jesús salió nuevamente a la orilla del mar; toda la gente acudía allí, y él les enseñaba.
14 As he was walking along he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,'Fol ow me.' And he got up and fol owed him.	14 Al pasar vio a Leví, hijo de Alfeo, sentado a la mesa de recaudación de impuestos, y le dijo: «Sígueme». El se levantó y lo siguió.
15 When Jesus was at dinner in his house, a number of tax collectors and sinners were also sitting attable with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many of them among his fol owers.	15 Mientras Jesús estaba comiendo en su casa, muchos publicanos y pecadores se sentaron a comer con él y sus discípulos;
16 When the scribes of the Pharisee party saw him eating with sinners and tax col ectors, they said to hisdisciples, 'Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?'	16 Los escribas del grupo de los fariseos, al ver que comía con pecadores y publicanos, decían a los discípulos: «¿Por qué come con publicanos y pecadores?».
17 When Jesus heard this he said to them, 'It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. I cameto cal not the upright, but sinners.'	17 Jesús, que había oído, les dijo: «No son los sanos los que tienen necesidad del médico, sino los enfermos. Yo no he venido a llamar a los justos, sino a los pecadores».
18 John's disciples and the Pharisees were keeping a fast, when some people came to him and said tohim, 'Why is it that John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not?'	18 Un día en que los discípulos de Juan y los fariseos, fueron a decirle a Jesús: «¿Por qué tus discípulos no ayunan, como lo hacen los discípulos de Juan y los discípulos de los fariseos?».
19 Jesus replied, 'Surely the bridegroom's attendants cannot fast while the bridegroom is still with them?As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.	19 Jesús les respondió: «¿Acaso los amigos del esposo pueden ayunar cuando el esposo está con ellos? Es natural que no ayunen, mientras tienen consigo al esposo.
20 But the time wil come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then, on that day, they wilfast.	20 Llegará el momento en que el esposo les será quitado, y entonces ayunarán.
21 No one sews a piece of unshrunken cloth on an old cloak; otherwise, the patch pul s away from it, thenew from the old, and the tear gets worse.	21 Nadie usa un pedazo de género nuevo para remendar un vestido viejo, porque el pedazo añadido tira del vestido viejo y la rotura se hace más grande.
22 And nobody puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise, the wine wil burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins too. No! New wine into fresh skins!'	22 Tampoco se pone vino nuevo en odres viejos, porque hará reventar los odres, y ya no servirán más ni el vino ni los odres. ¡A vino nuevo, odres nuevos!».
23 It happened that one Sabbath day he was taking a walk through the cornfields, and his disciplesbegan to make a path by plucking ears of corn.	23 Un sábado en que Jesús atravesaba unos sembrados, sus discípulos comenzaron a arrancar espigas al pasar.
24 And the Pharisees said to him, 'Look, why are they doing something on the Sabbath day that isforbidden?'	24 Entonces los fariseos le dijeron: «¡Mira! ¿Por qué hacen en sábado lo que no está permitido?».
25 And he replied, 'Have you never read what David did in his time of need when he and his fol owerswere hungry-	25 El les respondió: «¿Ustedes no han leído nunca lo que hizo David, cuando él y sus compañeros se vieron obligados por el hambre,
26 how he went into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the loaves of the offeringwhich only the priests are al owed to eat, and how he also gave some to the men with him?'	26 cómo entró en la Casa de Dios, en el tiempo del Sumo Sacerdote Abiatar, y comió y dio a sus compañeros los panes de la ofrenda, que sólo pueden comer los sacerdotes?».
27 And he said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath;	27 Y agregó: «El sábado ha sido hecho para el hombre, y no el hombre para el sábado.
28 so the Son of man is master even of the Sabbath.'	28 De manera que el Hijo del hombre es dueño también del sábado».
