1 The LORD said to Moses:	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 "Make two trumpets of beaten silver, which you shall use in assembling the community and in breaking camp.	2 "Fatti due trombe d'argento: le farai massicce e serviranno per la convocazione della comunità e la partenza dagli accampamenti:
3 When both are blown, the whole community shall gather round you at the entrance of the meeting tent;	3 con quelle si suonerà e si radunerà presso di te tutta la comunità all'ingresso della tenda del convegno.
4 but when one of them is blown, only the princes, the chiefs of the troops of Israel, shall gather round you.	4 Al suono di una sola, converranno presso di te i capi, alla testa delle migliaia d'Israele.
5 When you sound the first alarm, those encamped on the east side shall set out;	5 Quando suonerete con clamore, gli accampati a est partiranno.
6 when you sound the second alarm, those encamped on the south side shall set out; when you sound the third alarm, those encamped on the west side shall set out; when you sound the fourth alarm, those encamped on the north side shall set out. Thus shall the alarm be sounded for them to depart.	6 Suonerete con clamore una seconda volta e partiranno quelli accampati a sud: si suoneranno con clamore quando si dovranno muovere.
7 But in calling forth an assembly you are to blow an ordinary blast, without sounding the alarm.	7 Quando radunerete l'assemblea suonerete, ma non con clamore.
8 "It is the sons of Aaron, the priests, who shall blow the trumpets; and the use of them is prescribed by perpetual statute for you and your descendants.	8 Suoneranno le trombe i figli di Aronne, i sacerdoti: sarà per voi una prescrizione perenne per le vostre generazioni.
9 When in your own land you go to war against an enemy that is attacking you, you shall sound the alarm on the trumpets, and the LORD, your God, will remember you and save you from your foes.	9 Se entrerete in guerra nella vostra terra contro un oppressore che vi attacca, farete clamore con le trombe, vi ricorderete del Signore, vostro Dio, e sarete salvati contro i vostri nemici.
10 On your days of celebration, your festivals, and your new-moon feasts, you shall blow the trumpets over your holocausts and your peace offerings; this will serve as a reminder of you before your God. I, the LORD, am your God."	10 Nel giorno della vostra gioia, nelle vostre feste, agli inizi dei vostri mesi suonerete le trombe per i vostri olocausti, per i vostri sacrifici di pace e per voi saranno un ricordo davanti al vostro Dio. 15 and Nethanel, son of Zuar, over the host of the tribe of Issachar,	15 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Issacar era Natanael, figlio di Suar.
16 and Eliab, son of Helon, over the host of the tribe of Zebulun.	16 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Zabulon era Eliab, figlio di Chelon.
17 Then, after the Dwelling was dismantled, the clans of Gershon and Merari set out, carrying the Dwelling.	17 Poi la dimora fu smontata e partirono i figli di Gherson e i figli di Merari, che la portavano.
18 The camp of the Reubenites, under its own standard and arranged in companies, was the next to set out, with Elizur, son of Shedeur, over their host,	18 Partì quindi l'insegna del campo di Ruben, secondo le loro schiere: sopra la loro schiera era Elisur, figlio di Sedeur.

21 The clan of Kohath then set out, carrying the sacred objects for the Dwelling, which was to be erected before their arrival.	21 Poi partirono i Keatiti, portando gli oggetti sacri; gli altri dovevano erigere la dimora prima che questi arrivassero.

23 and Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur, over the host of the tribe of Manasseh,	23 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Manasse era Gamliel, figlio di Pedasur.
24 and Abidan, son of Gideoni, over the host of the tribe of Benjamin.	24 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Beniamino era Abidan, figlio di Ghideoni.
25 Finally, as rear guard for all the camps, the camp of the Danites set out, under its own standard and arranged in companies, with Ahiezer, son of Ammishaddai, over their host,	25 Partì infine l'insegna del campo dei figli di Dan, a conclusione di tutti i campi, secondo le loro schiere: sulla sua schiera era Achiezer, figlio di Ammisaddai.
26 and Pagiel, son of Ochran, over the host of the tribe of Asher,	26 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Aser era Paghiel, figlio di Ocran.
27 and Ahira, son of Enan, over the host of the tribe of Naphtali.	27 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Neftali era Achira, figlio di Enan.
28 This was the order of departure for the Israelites, company by company. As they were setting out,	28 Questo era l'ordine di marcia dei figli d'Israele, secondo le loro schiere. E partirono.
29 Moses said to his brother-in-law Hobab, son of Reuel the Midianite, "We are setting out for the place which the LORD has promised to give us. Come with us, and we will be generous toward you, for the LORD has promised prosperity to Israel."	29 Mosè disse a Obab, figlio di Reuel, madianita, suocero di Mosè: "Stiamo partendo verso il luogo del quale il Signore ha detto "Ve lo darò": vieni con noi e ti faremo del bene, perché il Signore ha promesso di fare del bene a Israele".
30 But he answered, "No, I will not come. I am going instead to my own country and to my own kindred."	30 Gli rispose: "Non andrò, ma tornerò alla mia terra, presso i miei parenti".
31 Moses said, "Please, do not leave us; you know where we can camp in the desert, and you will serve as eyes for us.	31 Mosè disse: "Non abbandonarci, perché tu sai dove possiamo accampare nel deserto e sarai per noi come gli occhi.
32 If you come with us, we will share with you the prosperity the LORD will bestow on us."	32 Se verrai con noi, quel bene che il Signore farà a noi, lo faremo a te".
33 They moved on from the mountain of the LORD, a three days' journey, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD which was to seek out their resting place went the three days' journey with them.	33 Partirono allora dalla montagna del Signore e fecero tre giorni di cammino, mentre l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore li precedeva per un cammino di tre giorni, per cercare un luogo di riposo per loro.
34 And when they set out from camp, the cloud of the LORD was over them by day.	34 La nuvola del Signore era su di loro durante il giorno, da quando erano partiti dal campo.
35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say, "Arise, O LORD, that your enemies may be scattered, and those who hate you may flee before you."	35 Quando partiva l'arca, Mosè diceva: "Sorgi, Signore, siano dispersi i tuoi nemici, fuggano davanti a te quelli che ti odiano";
36 And when it came to rest, he would say, "Return, O LORD, you who ride upon the clouds, to the troops of Israel."	36 e quando si fermava, diceva: "Ritorna, o Signore, alla moltitudine delle migliaia d'Israele".
