Isaiah 52

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your glorious garments, O Jerusalem, holy city. No longer shall the uncircumcised or the unclean enter you.	1 ¡Despierta, despierta, revístete de tu fuerza, Sión! ¡Vístete con tus vestidos más bellos, Jerusalén, Ciudad santa! Porque ya no entrarán más en ti el incircunciso ni el impuro.
2 Shake off the dust, ascend to the throne, Jerusalem; Loose the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter Zion!	2 ¡Sacúdete el polvo, levántate, Jerusalén cautiva! ¡Desata las ataduras de tu cuello, hija de Sión cautiva!
3 For thus says the LORD: You were sold for nothing, and without money you shall be redeemed.	3 Porque así habla el Señor: Ustedes fueron vendidos por nada, y también sin dinero serán redimidos.
4 Thus says the Lord GOD: To Egypt in the beginning my people went down, to sojourn there; Assyria, too, oppressed them for nought.	4 Porque así habla el Señor: Mi Pueblo bajó primero a Egipto, para residir allí como extranjero, y luego Asiria lo oprimió sin razón.
5 But now, what am I to do here? says the LORD. My people have been taken away without redress; their rulers make a boast of it, says the LORD; all the day my name is constantly reviled.	5 Y ahora, ¿qué tengo que hacer yo aquí –oráculo del Señor–, ya que mi Pueblo ha sido deportado por nada? Sus dominadores lanzan alaridos –oráculo del Señor– y todo el día, sin cesar, es despreciado mi Nombre.
6 Therefore on that day my people shall know my renown, that it is I who have foretold it. Here I am!	6 Por eso mi Pueblo conocerá mi Nombre en ese día, porque yo soy aquel que dice: «¡Aquí estoy!».
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings, Announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, and saying to Zion, "Your God is King!"	7 ¡Qué hermosos son sobre las montañas los pasos del que trae la buena noticia, del que proclama la paz, del que anuncia la felicidad, del que proclama la salvación, y dice a Sión: «¡Tu Dios reina!».
8 Hark! Your watchmen raise a cry, together they shout for joy, For they see directly, before their eyes, the LORD restoring Zion.	8 ¡Escucha! Tus centinelas levantan la voz, gritan todos juntos de alegría, porque ellos ven con sus propios ojos el regreso del Señor a Sión,
9 Break out together in song, O ruins of Jerusalem! For the LORD comforts his people, he redeems Jerusalem.	9 ¡Prorrumpan en gritos de alegría, ruinas de Jerusalén, porque el Señor consuela a su Pueblo, él redime a Jerusalén!
10 The LORD has bared his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth will behold the salvation of our God.	10 El Señor desnuda su santo brazo a la vista de todas las naciones, verán la salvación de nuestro Dios.
11 Depart, depart, come forth from there, touch nothing unclean! Out from there! Purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.	11 ¡Retírense, retírense, salgan de aquí, no toquen nada impuro! ¡Salgan de en medio de ella, purifíquense, los que llevan los vasos del Señor!
12 Yet not in fearful haste will you come out, nor leave in headlong flight, For the LORD comes before you, and your rear guard is the God of Israel.	12 Porque no saldrán apresuradamente ni partirán como fugitivos, ya que al frente de ustedes irá el Señor, y en la retaguardia, el Dios de Israel.
13 See, my servant shall prosper, he shall be raised high and greatly exalted.	13 Sí, mi Servidor triunfará: será exaltado y elevado a una altura muy grande.
14 Even as many were amazed at him-- so marred was his look beyond that of man, and his appearance beyond that of mortals--	14 así como muchos quedaron horrorizados a causa de él, porque estaba tan desfigurado que su aspecto no era el de un hombre y su apariencia no era más la de un ser humano,
15 So shall he startle many nations, because of him kings shall stand speechless; For those who have not been told shall see, those who have not heard shall ponder it.	15 así también él asombrará a muchas naciones, y ante él los reyes cerrarán la boca, porque verán lo que nunca se les había contado y comprenderán algo que nunca habían oído.
