NEW AMERICAN BIBLENOVA VULGATA
1 A miktam of David. Keep me safe, O God; in you I take refuge1 Miktam. David.
Conserva me, Deus, quoniam speravi in te.
2 I say to the Lord, you are my Lord, you are my only good.2 Dixi Domino: “ Dominus meus es tu, bonum mihi non est sine te ”.
3 Worthless are all the false gods of the land. Accursed are all who delight in them.3 In sanctos, qui sunt in terra, inclitos viros,
omnis voluntas mea in eos.
4 They multiply their sorrows who court other gods. Blood libations to them I will not pour out, nor will I take their names upon my lips.4 Multiplicantur dolores eorum, qui post deos alienos acceleraverunt.
Non effundam libationes eorum de sanguinibus
neque assumam nomina eorum in labiis meis.
5 LORD, my allotted portion and my cup, you have made my destiny secure.5 Dominus pars hereditatis meae et calicis mei:
tu es qui detines sortem meam.
6 Pleasant places were measured out for me; fair to me indeed is my inheritance.6 Funes ceciderunt mihi in praeclaris;
insuper et hereditas mea speciosa est mihi.
7 I bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my heart exhorts me.7 Benedicam Dominum, qui tribuit mihi intellectum;
insuper et in noctibus erudierunt me renes mei.
8 I keep the LORD always before me; with the Lord at my right, I shall never be shaken.8 Proponebam Dominum in conspectu meo semper;
quoniam a dextris est mihi, non commovebor.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure,9 Propter hoc laetatum est cor meum,
et exsultaverunt praecordia mea;
insuper et caro mea requiescet in spe.
10 For you will not abandon me to Sheol, nor let your faithful servant see the pit.10 Quoniam non derelinques animam meam in inferno
nec dabis sanctum tuum videre corruptionem.
11 You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.11 Notas mihi facies vias vitae,
plenitudinem laetitiae cum vultu tuo,
delectationes in dextera tua usque in finem.
