2 Help, LORD, for no one loyal remains; the faithful have vanished from the human race	2 Quanto lungamente porrò io li consigli nell'anima mia, e il dolore per ciascuno dì nel mio cuore?
3 Those who tell lies to one another speak with deceiving lips and a double heart.	3 Quanto lungamente rimarrà esaltato il mio nemico sopra di me?
4 May the LORD cut off all deceiving lips, and every boastful tongue,	4 Ragguarda ed esaudisci me, Signore Iddio mio. Illumina gli occhi miei, acciò che mai non dorma nella morte.
5 Those who say, "By our tongues we prevail; when our lips speak, who can lord it over us?"	5 Chè per avventura non dica il nimico mio: io sono stato più forte di lui. Quelli che mi trìbulano si rallegreranno, se io mi muoverò.
6 "Because they rob the weak, and the needy groan, I will now arise," says the LORD; "I will grant safety to whoever longs for it."	6 Ma io sperai nella tua misericordia. Il cuore mio si rallegrerà nel tuo Salvatore; canterò al Signore il qual m' ha dato molti beni; e salmeggerò al nome altissimo del Signore.
7 The promises of the LORD are sure, silver refined in a crucible, silver purified seven times.
8 LORD, protect us always; preserve us from this generation.
9 On every side the wicked strut; the shameless are extolled by all.
