Psalms 12

1 For the leader; "upon the eighth." A psalm of David.	1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל־הַשְּׁמִינִית מִזְמֹור לְדָוִד
2 Help, LORD, for no one loyal remains; the faithful have vanished from the human race	2 הֹושִׁיעָה יְהוָה כִּי־גָמַר חָסִיד כִּי־פַסּוּ אֱמוּנִים מִבְּנֵי אָדָם
3 Those who tell lies to one another speak with deceiving lips and a double heart.	3 שָׁוְא ׀ יְדַבְּרוּ אִישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ שְׂפַת חֲלָקֹות בְּלֵב וָלֵב יְדַבֵּרוּ
4 May the LORD cut off all deceiving lips, and every boastful tongue,	4 יַכְרֵת יְהוָה כָּל־שִׂפְתֵי חֲלָקֹות לָשֹׁון מְדַבֶּרֶת גְּדֹלֹות
5 Those who say, "By our tongues we prevail; when our lips speak, who can lord it over us?"	5 אֲשֶׁר אָמְרוּ ׀ לִלְשֹׁנֵנוּ נַגְבִּיר שְׂפָתֵינוּ אִתָּנוּ מִי אָדֹון לָנוּ
6 "Because they rob the weak, and the needy groan, I will now arise," says the LORD; "I will grant safety to whoever longs for it."	6 מִשֹּׁד עֲנִיִּים מֵאַנְקַת אֶבְיֹונִים עַתָּה אָקוּם יֹאמַר יְהוָה אָשִׁית בְּיֵשַׁע יָפִיחַ לֹו
7 The promises of the LORD are sure, silver refined in a crucible, silver purified seven times.	7 אִמֲרֹות יְהוָה אֲמָרֹות טְהֹרֹות כֶּסֶף צָרוּף בַּעֲלִיל לָאָרֶץ מְזֻקָּק שִׁבְעָתָיִם
8 LORD, protect us always; preserve us from this generation.	8 אַתָּה־יְהוָה תִּשְׁמְרֵם תִּצְּרֶנּוּ ׀ מִן־הַדֹּור זוּ לְעֹולָם
9 On every side the wicked strut; the shameless are extolled by all.	9 סָבִיב רְשָׁעִים יִתְהַלָּכוּן כְּרֻם זֻלּוּת לִבְנֵי אָדָם
