1 και εγενετο τα ορια φυλης ιουδα κατα δημους αυτων απο των οριων της ιδουμαιας απο της ερημου σιν εως καδης προς λιβα	1 And so, the lot of the sons of Judah, by their families, was this: from the border of Edom, to the desert of Sin toward the south, and even to the furthest part of the southern region.
2 και εγενηθη αυτων τα ορια απο λιβος εως μερους της θαλασσης της αλυκης απο της λοφιας της φερουσης επι λιβα	2 Its beginning was from the summit of the very salty sea, and from its bay, which looks toward the south.
3 και διαπορευεται απεναντι της προσαναβασεως ακραβιν και εκπεριπορευεται σεννα και αναβαινει απο λιβος επι καδης βαρνη και εκπορευεται ασωρων και προσαναβαινει εις αδδαρα και περιπορευεται την κατα δυσμας καδης	3 And it extends toward the ascent of the Scorpion, and it passes on to Sinai. And it ascends into Kadesh-barnea, and it passes through to Hezron, ascending to Addar, and encompassing Karka.
4 και πορευεται επι ασεμωνα και διεκβαλει εως φαραγγος αιγυπτου και εσται αυτου η διεξοδος των οριων επι την θαλασσαν τουτο εστιν αυτων ορια απο λιβος	4 And from there, it passes on to Azmon, and reaches to the torrent of Egypt. And its boundary shall be the great sea; this shall be the limit of the southern region.
5 και τα ορια απο ανατολων πασα η θαλασσα η αλυκη εως του ιορδανου και τα ορια αυτων απο βορρα και απο της λοφιας της θαλασσης και απο του μερους του ιορδανου	5 Yet truly, toward the east, the beginning shall be the very salty sea, even to the limit of the Jordan, and that which looks toward the north, from the bay of the sea, even to the same river Jordan.
6 επιβαινει τα ορια επι βαιθαγλα και παραπορευεται απο βορρα επι βαιθαραβα και προσαναβαινει τα ορια επι λιθον βαιων υιου ρουβην	6 And the border ascends into Beth-hoglah, and it crosses from the north into Beth-Arabah, ascending to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben.
7 και προσαναβαινει τα ορια επι το τεταρτον της φαραγγος αχωρ και καταβαινει επι γαλγαλ η εστιν απεναντι της προσβασεως αδδαμιν η εστιν κατα λιβα τη φαραγγι και διεκβαλει επι το υδωρ πηγης ηλιου και εσται αυτου η διεξοδος πηγη ρωγηλ	7 And it reaches as far as the borders of Debara, from the Valley of Achor, to the north, looking toward Gilgal, which is opposite the Ascent of Adummim, on the southern part of the torrent. And it crosses the waters that are called the Fountain of the Sun. And its exit shall be at the Fountain of Rogel.
8 και αναβαινει τα ορια εις φαραγγα ονομ επι νωτου ιεβους απο λιβος αυτη εστιν ιερουσαλημ και διεκβαλλει τα ορια επι κορυφην ορους η εστιν κατα προσωπον φαραγγος ονομ προς θαλασσης η εστιν εκ μερους γης ραφαιν επι βορρα	8 And it ascends by the steep valley of the son of Hinnom, from the side of the Jebusite, toward the south; this is Jerusalem. And from there, it raises itself to the top of the mountain, which is opposite Geennom to the west, at the top of the Valley of the Rephaim, to the north.
9 και διεκβαλλει το οριον απο κορυφης του ορους επι πηγην υδατος ναφθω και διεκβαλλει εις το ορος εφρων και εξαξει το οριον εις βααλ αυτη εστιν πολις ιαριμ	9 And it passes through, from the top of the mountain, even to the fountain of the Water of Nephtoah. And it continues on, as far as the villages of mount Ephron. And it inclines toward Baalah, which is Kiriath-jearim, that is, the City of Forests.
10 και περιελευσεται οριον απο βααλ επι θαλασσαν και παρελευσεται εις ορος ασσαρες επι νωτου πολιν ιαριμ απο βορρα αυτη εστιν χασλων και καταβησεται επι πολιν ηλιου και παρελευσεται επι λιβα	10 And it circles from Baalah, to the west, as far as mount Seir. And it passes by the side of mount Jearim, to the north, into Chesalon. And it descends into Beth-shemesh, and it passes through to Timnah.
11 και διεκβαλει το οριον κατα νωτου ακκαρων επι βορραν και διεκβαλει τα ορια εις σακχαρωνα και παρελευσεται ορος της βαλα και διεκβαλει επι ιαβνηλ και εσται η διεξοδος των οριων επι θαλασσαν	11 And it continues on, toward the north, to a region beside Ekron. And it inclines toward Shikkeron, and it crosses to mount Baalah. And it extends into Jabneel, and the last part closes at the west with the great sea.
12 και τα ορια αυτων απο θαλασσης η θαλασσα η μεγαλη οριει ταυτα τα ορια υιων ιουδα κυκλω κατα δημους αυτων	12 These are the borders of the sons of Judah, in their families, on all sides.
13 και τω χαλεβ υιω ιεφοννη εδωκεν μεριδα εν μεσω υιων ιουδα δια προσταγματος του θεου και εδωκεν αυτω ιησους την πολιν αρβοκ μητροπολιν ενακ αυτη εστιν χεβρων	13 Yet truly, to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, just as the Lord had instructed him: the City of Arba, the father of Anak, which is Hebron.
14 και εξωλεθρευσεν εκειθεν χαλεβ υιος ιεφοννη τους τρεις υιους ενακ τον σουσι και τον θολμι και τον αχιμα	14 And Caleb destroyed from it the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, of the stock of Anak.
15 και ανεβη εκειθεν χαλεβ επι τους κατοικουντας δαβιρ το δε ονομα δαβιρ ην το προτερον πολις γραμματων	15 And ascending further from there, he came to the inhabitants of Debir, which before was called Kiriath-Sepher, that is, the City of Letters.
16 και ειπεν χαλεβ ος εαν λαβη και εκκοψη την πολιν των γραμματων και κυριευση αυτης δωσω αυτω την αχσαν θυγατερα μου εις γυναικα	16 And Caleb said, “Whoever will have struck down Kiriath-Sepher, and will have seized it, I will give to him Achsah, my daughter, as wife.”
17 και ελαβεν αυτην γοθονιηλ υιος κενεζ αδελφος χαλεβ ο νεωτερος και εδωκεν αυτω την αχσαν θυγατερα αυτου αυτω γυναικα	17 And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, the younger brother of Caleb, seized it. And he gave him Achsah, his daughter, as wife.
18 και εγενετο εν τω εισπορευεσθαι αυτην και συνεβουλευσατο αυτω λεγουσα αιτησομαι τον πατερα μου αγρον και εβοησεν εκ του ονου και ειπεν αυτη χαλεβ τι εστιν σοι	18 And as they were traveling together, she was urged by her husband that she ask her father for a field. And she sighed, as she was sitting on her donkey. And Caleb said to her, “What is it?”
19 και ειπεν αυτω δος μοι ευλογιαν οτι εις γην ναγεβ δεδωκας με δος μοι την γολαθμαιν και εδωκεν αυτη χαλεβ την γολαθμαιν την ανω και την γολαθμαιν την κατω	19 But she answered: “Give a blessing to me. You have given to me a southern and dry land; join to it also a watered land.” And so Caleb gave to her the watered land above and below it.
20 αυτη η κληρονομια φυλης υιων ιουδα	20 This is the possession of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.
21 εγενηθησαν δε αι πολεις αυτων πολις πρωτη φυλης υιων ιουδα εφ' οριων εδωμ επι της ερημου καιβαισελεηλ και αρα και ασωρ	21 And the cities, from the furthest parts of the sons of Judah, beside the borders of Edom to the south, were: Kabzeel and Eder and Jagur,
22 και ικαμ και ρεγμα και αρουηλ	22 and Kinah and Dimonah and Adadah,
23 και καδης και ασοριωναιν	23 and Kadesh and Hazor and Ithnan,
24 και μαιναμ και βαλμαιναν και αι κωμαι αυτων	24 Ziph and Telem and Bealoth,
25 και αι πολεις ασερων αυτη ασωρ	25 new Hazor and Kerioth-Hezron, which is Hazor,
26 και σην και σαλμαα και μωλαδα	26 Amam, Shema, and Moladah,
27 και σερι και βαιφαλαδ	27 and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon and Bethpelet,
28 και χολασεωλα και βηρσαβεε και αι κωμαι αυτων και αι επαυλεις αυτων	28 and Hazar-shual and Beersheba and Biziothiah,
29 βαλα και βακωκ και ασομ	29 and Baalah and Iim and Ezem,
30 και ελβωυδαδ και βαιθηλ και ερμα	30 and Eltolad and Chesil and Hormah,
31 και σεκελακ και μαχαριμ και σεθεννακ	31 and Ziklag and Madmannah and Sansannah,
32 και λαβως και σαλη και ερωμωθ πολεις κθ# και αι κωμαι αυτων	32 Lebaoth and Shilhim, and Ain and Rimmon. All the cities were twenty-nine, and their villages.
33 εν τη πεδινη ασταωλ και ραα και ασσα	33 Truly, in the plains, there were: Eshtaol and Zorah and Ashnah,
34 και ραμεν και τανω και ιλουθωθ και μαιανι	34 and Zanoah and Engannim, and Tappuah and Enam,
35 και ιερμουθ και οδολλαμ και μεμβρα και σαωχω και αζηκα	35 and Jarmuth and Adullam, Socoh and Azekah,
36 και σακαριμ και γαδηρα και αι επαυλεις αυτης πολεις δεκα τεσσαρες και αι κωμαι αυτων	36 and Shaaraim and Adithaim, and Gederah and Gederothaim: fourteen cities, and their villages.
37 σεννα και αδασαν και μαγαδαγαδ	37 Zenan and Hadashah and Middalgad,
38 και δαλαλ και μασφα και ιακαρεηλ	38 Dilean and Mizpeh and Joktheel,
39 και λαχης και βασηδωθ και ιδεαδαλεα	39 Lachish and Bozkath and Eglon,
40 και χαβρα και μαχες και μααχως	40 Cabbon and Lahmam and Chitlish,
41 και γεδδωρ και βαγαδιηλ και νωμαν και μακηδαν πολεις δεκαεξ και αι κωμαι αυτων	41 and Gederoth and Bethdagon, and Naamah and Makkedah: sixteen cities, and their villages.
42 λεμνα και ιθακ	42 Libnah and Ether and Ashan,
43 και ανωχ και ιανα και νασιβ	43 Iphtah and Ashnah and Nezib,
44 και κειλαμ και ακιεζι και κεζιβ και βαθησαρ και αιλων πολεις δεκα και αι κωμαι αυτων	44 and Keilah and Achzib and Mareshah: nine cities, and their villages.
45 ακκαρων και αι κωμαι αυτης και αι επαυλεις αυτων	45 Ekron, with its towns and villages:
46 απο ακκαρων γεμνα και πασαι οσαι εισιν πλησιον ασηδωθ και αι κωμαι αυτων	46 from Ekron, as far as the sea, all that inclines toward Ashdod, and its villages.
47 ασιεδωθ και αι κωμαι αυτης και αι επαυλεις αυτης γαζα και αι κωμαι αυτης και αι επαυλεις αυτης εως του χειμαρρου αιγυπτου και η θαλασσα η μεγαλη διοριζει	47 Ashdod, with its towns and villages. Gaza, with its towns and villages, as far as the torrent of Egypt, with the great sea as its border.
48 και εν τη ορεινη σαμιρ και ιεθερ και σωχα	48 And on the mountain, Shamir and Jattir and Socoh,
49 και ρεννα και πολις γραμματων αυτη δαβιρ	49 and Dannah, and Kiriath-Sannah, which is Debir,
50 και ανων και εσκαιμαν και αισαμ	50 Anab and Eshtemoh and Anim,
51 και γοσομ και χαλου και χαννα πολεις ενδεκα και αι κωμαι αυτων	51 Goshen and Holon and Giloh: eleven cities, and their villages.
52 αιρεμ και ρεμνα και σομα	52 Arab and Dumah and Eshan,
53 και ιεμαιν και βαιθαχου και φακουα	53 and Janim and Beth-Tappuah and Aphekah,
54 και ευμα και πολις αρβοκ αυτη εστιν χεβρων και σωρθ πολεις εννεα και αι επαυλεις αυτων	54 Humtah and Kiriath-Arba, which is Hebron, and Zior: nine cities, and their villages.
55 μαωρ και χερμελ και οζιβ και ιταν	55 Maon and Carmel, and Ziph and Juttah,
56 και ιαριηλ και ιαρικαμ και ζακαναιμ	56 Jezreel and Jokdeam and Zanoah,
57 και γαβαα και θαμναθα πολεις εννεα και αι κωμαι αυτων	57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities, and their villages.
58 αλουα και βαιθσουρ και γεδδων	58 Halhul and Bethzur and Gedor,
59 και μαγαρωθ και βαιθαναμ και θεκουμ πολεις εξ και αι κωμαι αυτων [59α] θεκω και εφραθα αυτη εστιν βαιθλεεμ και φαγωρ και αιταν και κουλον και ταταμ και εωβης και καρεμ και γαλεμ και θεθηρ και μανοχω πολεις ενδεκα και αι κωμαι αυτων	59 Maarath and Bethanoth and Eltekon: six cities, and their villages.
60 καριαθβααλ αυτη η πολις ιαριμ και σωθηβα πολεις δυο και αι επαυλεις αυτων	60 Kiriath-baal, which is Kiriath-jearim, the City of Forests, and Rabbah: two cities, and their villages.
61 και βαδδαργις και θαραβααμ και αινων και αιχιοζα	61 In the desert: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 και ναφλαζων και αι πολεις σαδωμ και ανκαδης πολεις επτα και αι κωμαι αυτων	62 and Nibshan, and the City of Salt, and Engedi: six cities, and their villages.
63 και ο ιεβουσαιος κατωκει εν ιερουσαλημ και ουκ ηδυνασθησαν οι υιοι ιουδα απολεσαι αυτους και κατωκησαν οι ιεβουσαιοι εν ιερουσαλημ εως της ημερας εκεινης	63 But the sons of Judah were not able to destroy the Jebusite inhabitants of Jerusalem. And so the Jebusite lived with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem, even to the present day.
