Psalms 82

1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.	1 Ászáf zsoltára. Áll az Isten az istenek gyülekezetében, s ítélkezik az isteneken:
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.	2 »Meddig ítéltek még hamisan, és meddig vagytok tekintettel a gonoszok személyére?
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.	3 Szolgáltassatok igazságot a szűkölködőnek s az árvának, juttassátok jogához a nyomorultat és a szegényt!
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.	4 Szabadítsátok meg a szegényt és a szűkölködőt mentsétek ki a gonoszok kezéből!«
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.	5 De ők sem nem tudnak, sem nem értenek, sötétben járnak; Mind meginognak ezért a föld alapjai.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.	6 Én azt mondtam: »Ti istenek vagytok, mindnyájan a Fölséges fiai.«
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.	7 De meghaltok, mint más ember, elhullotok, mint akármelyik főember.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.	8 Kelj fel, Isten! Ítéld meg a földet, mert a te örökséged minden nemzet.
