Psalms 122

1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.	1 'Canto delle ascensioni. Di Davide'. Quale gioia, quando mi dissero: "Andremo alla casa del Signore".
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.	2 E ora i nostri piedi si fermano alle tue porte, Gerusalemme!
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:	3 Gerusalemme è costruita come città salda e compatta.
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.	4 Là salgono insieme le tribù, le tribù del Signore, secondo la legge di Israele, per lodare il nome del Signore.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.	5 Là sono posti i seggi del giudizio, i seggi della casa di Davide.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.	6 Domandate pace per Gerusalemme: sia pace a coloro che ti amano,
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.	7 sia pace sulle tue mura, sicurezza nei tuoi baluardi.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.	8 Per i miei fratelli e i miei amici io dirò: "Su di te sia pace!".
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.	9 Per la casa del Signore nostro Dio, chiederò per te il bene.
