Psalms 99

1 A psalm for David himself. The Lord hath reigned, let the people be angry: he that sitteth on the cherubims: let the earth be moved.	1 Il Signore regna, tremino i popoli; siede sui cherubini, si scuota la terra.
2 The Lord is great in Sion, and high above all people.	2 Grande è il Signore in Sion, eccelso sopra tutti i popoli.
3 Let them give praise to thy great name: for it is terrible and holy:	3 Lodino il tuo nome grande e terribile, perché è santo.
4 and the king's honour loveth judgment. Thou hast prepared directions: thou hast done judgment and justice in Jacob.	4 Re potente che ami la giustizia, tu hai stabilito ciò che è retto, diritto e giustizia tu eserciti in Giacobbe.
5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore his footstool, for it is holy.	5 Esaltate il Signore nostro Dio, prostratevi allo sgabello dei suoi piedi, perché è santo.
6 Moses and Aaron among his priests: and Samuel among them that call upon his name. They called upon the Lord, and he heard them:	6 Mosè e Aronne tra i suoi sacerdoti, Samuele tra quanti invocano il suo nome: invocavano il Signore ed egli rispondeva.
7 he spoke to them in the pillar of the cloud. They kept his testimonies, and the commandment which he gave them.	7 Parlava loro da una colonna di nubi: obbedivano ai suoi comandi e alla legge che aveva loro dato.
8 Thou didst hear them, O Lord our God: thou wast a merciful God to them, and taking vengeance on all their inventions.	8 Signore, Dio nostro, tu li esaudivi, eri per loro un Dio paziente, pur castigando i loro peccati.
9 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore at his holy mountain: for the Lord our God is holy.	9 Esaltate il Signore nostro Dio, prostratevi davanti al suo monte santo, perché santo è il Signore, nostro Dio.
