DOUAI-RHEIMS	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Unto the end, a psalm of a canticle for David himself.	1 Del maestro de coro. De David. Salmo. Canto.
2 Let God arise, and let his enemies be scattered: and let them that hate him flee from before his face.	2 ¡Se alza Dios! Sus enemigos se dispersan y sus adversarios huyen delante de él.
3 As smoke vanisheth, so let them vanish away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.	3 Tú los disipas como se disipa el humo; como se derrite la cera ante el fuego, así desaparecen los impíos ante Dios.
4 And let the just feast, and rejoice before God: and be delighted with gladness.	4 Pero los justos se regocijan, gritan de gozo delante de Dios y se llenan de alegría.
5 Sing ye to God, sing a psalm to his name, make a way for him who ascendeth upon the west: the Lord is his name. Rejoice ye before him: but the wicked shall be troubled at his presence,	5 ¡Canten a Dios, entonen un himno a su Nombre! ¡Abranle paso al que cabalga sobre las nubes! Su Nombre es «el Señor»: ¡griten de alegría en su presencia!
6 who is the father of orphans, and the judge of widows. God in his holy place:	6 Dios en su santa Morada es padre de los huérfanos y defensor de las viudas:
7 God who maketh men of one manner to dwell in a house: Who bringeth out them that were bound in strength; in like manner them that provoke, that dwell in sepulchres.	7 él instala en un hogar a los solitarios y hace salir con felicidad a los cautivos, mientras los rebeldes habitan en un lugar desolado.
8 O God, when thou didst go forth in the sight of thy people, when thou didst pass through the desert:	8 Oh Dios, cuando saliste al frente de tu pueblo, cuando avanzabas por el desierto,
9 The earth was moved, and the heavens dropped at the presence of the God of Sina, at the presence of the God of Israel.	9 tembló la tierra y el cielo dejó caer su lluvia, delante de Dios –el del Sinaí–, delante de Dios, el Dios de Israel.
10 Thou shalt set aside for thy inheritance a free rain, O God: and it was weakened, but thou hast made it perfect.	10 Tú derramaste una lluvia generosa, Señor: tu herencia estaba exhausta y tú la reconfortaste;
11 In it shall thy animals dwell; in thy sweetness, O God, thou hast provided for the poor.	11 allí es estableció tu familia, y tú, Señor, la afianzarás por tu bondad para con el pobre.
12 The Lord shall give the word to them that preach good tidings with great power.	12 El Señor pronuncia una palabra y una legión de mensajeros anuncia la noticia:
13 The king of powers is of the beloved, of the beloved; and the beauty of the house shall divide spoils.	13 «Huyen los reyes, huyen con sus ejércitos, y te repartes como botín los adornos de un palacio.
14 If you sleep among the midst of lots, you shall be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and the hinder parts of her back with the paleness of gold.	14 ¡No se queden recostados entre los rebaños! Las alas de la Paloma están recubiertas de plata, y su plumaje, de oro resplandeciente»
15 When he that is in heaven appointeth kings over her, they shall be whited with snow in Selmon.	15 Cuando el Todopoderoso dispersó a los reyes, caía la nieve sobre el Monte Umbrío.
16 The mountain of God is a fat mountain. A curdled mountain, a fat mountain.	16 ¡Montañas divinas, montañas de Basán, montañas escarpadas, montañas de Basán!
17 Why suspect, ye curdled mountains? A mountain in which God is well pleased to dwell: for there the Lord shall dwell unto the end.	17 ¿Por qué miran con envidia, montañas escarpadas, a la Montaña que Dios prefirió como Morada? ¡Allí el Señor habitará para siempre!
18 The chariot of God is attended by ten thousands; thousands of them that rejoice: the Lord is among them in Sina, in the holy place.	18 Los carros de guerra de Dios son dos miríadas de escuadrones relucientes; ¡el Señor está en medio de ellos, el Sinaí está en el Santuario!
19 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive; thou hast received gifts in men. Yea for those also that do not believe, the dwelling of the Lord God.	19 Subiste a la altura llevando cautivos, recogiste dones entre los hombres –incluso entre los rebeldes– cuando te estableciste allí, Señor Dios.
20 Blessed be the Lord day by day: the God of our salvation will make our journey prosperous to us.	20 ¡Bendito sea el Señor, el Dios de nuestra salvación! El carga con nosotros día tras día;
21 Our God is the God of salvation: and of the Lord, of the Lord are the issues from death.	21 él es el Dios que nos salva y nos hace escapar de la muerte.
22 But God shall break the heads of his enemies: the hairy crown of them that walk on in their sins.	22 Sí, Dios aplastará la cabeza de sus enemigos, el cráneo de los que se obstinan en sus delitos.
23 The Lord said: I will turn them from Basan, I will turn them into the depth of the sea:	23 Dice el Señor: «Los traeré de Basan, los traeré desde los abismos del mar,
24 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thy enemies; the tongue of thy dogs be red with the same.	24 para que hundas tus pies en la sangre del enemigo y la lengua de tus perros también tenga su parte».
25 They have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my God: of my king who is in his sanctuary.	25 Ya apareció tu cortejo, Señor, el cortejo de mi Rey y mi Dios hacia el Santuario:
26 Princes went before joined with singers, in the midst of young damsels playing on timbrels.	26 los cantores van al frente, los músicos, detrás; las jóvenes, en medio, van tocando el tamboril.
27 In the churches bless ye God the Lord, from the fountains of Israel.	27 ¡Bendigan al Señor en medio de la asamblea! ¡Bendigan al Señor desde la fuente de Israel!
28 There is Benjamin a youth, in ecstasy of mind. The princes of Juda are their leaders: the princes of Zabulon, the princes of Nephthali.	28 Allí Benjamín, el más pequeño, abre la marcha con los príncipes de Judá, vestidos de brocado, y con los príncipes de Zabulón y los príncipes de Neftalí.
29 Command thy strength, O God: confirm, O God, what thou hast wrought in us.	29 Tu Dios ha desplegado tu poder: ¡sé fuerte, Dios, tú que has actuado por nosotros!
30 From thy temple in Jerusalem, kings shall offer presents to thee.	30 A causa de tu Templo, que está en Jerusalén, los reyes te presentarán tributo.
31 Rebuke the wild beasts of the reeds, the congregation of bulls with the kine of the people; who seek to exclude them who are tried with silver. Scatter thou the nations that delight in wars:	31 Reprime a la Fiera de los juncos, al tropel de los toros y terneros: que esos pueblos se rindan a tus pies, trayendo lingotes de oro. El Señor dispersó a los pueblos guerreros;
32 ambassadors shall come out of Egypt: Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands to God.	32 telas preciosas llegan de Egipto y Etiopía, con sus propias manos, presenta sus dones a Dios.
33 Sing to God, ye kingdoms of the earth: sing ye to the Lord: Sing ye to God,	33 ¡Canten al Señor, reinos de la tierra, entonen un himno a Dios,
34 who mounteth above the heaven of heavens, to the east. Behold he will give to his voice the voice of power:	34 al que cabalga por el cielo, por el cielo antiquísimo! El hace oír su voz poderosa,
35 give ye glory to God for Israel, his magnificence, and his power is in the clouds.	35 ¡reconozcan el poder de Dios! Su majestad brilla sobre Israel y su poder, sobre las nubes.
36 God is wonderful in his saints: the God of Israel is he who will give power and strength to his people. Blessed be God.	36 Tú eres temible, oh Dios, desde tus santuarios. El Dios de Israel concede a su pueblo el poder y la fuerza. ¡Bendito sea Dios!
