1 Unto the end, in verses, a psalm for David, for the octave.	1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ בִּנְגִינֹות עַל־הַשְּׁמִינִית מִזְמֹור לְדָוִד
2 O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath.	2 יְהוָה אַל־בְּאַפְּךָ תֹוכִיחֵנִי וְאַל־בַּחֲמָתְךָ תְיַסְּרֵנִי
3 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.	3 חָנֵּנִי יְהוָה כִּי אֻמְלַל אָנִי רְפָאֵנִי יְהוָה כִּי נִבְהֲלוּ עֲצָמָי
4 And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?	4 וְנַפְשִׁי נִבְהֲלָה מְאֹד [וְאַתְּ כ] (וְאַתָּה ק) יְהוָה עַד־מָתָי
5 Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake.	5 שׁוּבָה יְהוָה חַלְּצָה נַפְשִׁי הֹושִׁיעֵנִי לְמַעַן חַסְדֶּךָ
6 For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell?	6 כִּי אֵין בַּמָּוֶת זִכְרֶךָ בִּשְׁאֹול מִי יֹודֶה־לָּךְ
7 I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears.	7 יָגַעְתִּי ׀ בְּאַנְחָתִי אַשְׂחֶה בְכָל־לַיְלָה מִטָּתִי בְּדִמְעָתִי עַרְשִׂי אַמְסֶה
8 My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.	8 עָשְׁשָׁה מִכַּעַס עֵינִי עָתְקָה בְּכָל־צֹורְרָי
9 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.	9 סוּרוּ מִמֶּנִּי כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן כִּי־שָׁמַע יְהוָה קֹול בִּכְיִי
10 The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer.	10 שָׁמַע יְהוָה תְּחִנָּתִי יְהוָה תְּפִלָּתִי יִקָּח
11 Let all my enemies be ashamed, and be very much troubled: let them be turned back, and be ashamed very speedily.	11 יֵבֹשׁוּ ׀ וְיִבָּהֲלוּ מְאֹד כָּל־אֹיְבָי יָשֻׁבוּ יֵבֹשׁוּ רָגַע
	12 וְרִחַק יְהוָה אֶת־הָאָדָם וְרַבָּה הָעֲזוּבָה בְּקֶרֶב הָאָרֶץ
	13 וְעֹוד בָּהּ עֲשִׂרִיָּה וְשָׁבָה וְהָיְתָה לְבָעֵר כָּאֵלָה וְכָאַלֹּון אֲשֶׁר בְּשַׁלֶּכֶת מַצֶּבֶת בָּם זֶרַע קֹדֶשׁ מַצַּבְתָּהּ׃ פ
