1 'Canto delle ascensioni'. Alzo gli occhi verso i monti: da dove mi verrà l'aiuto?	1 A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come?
2 Il mio aiuto viene dal Signore, che ha fatto cielo e terra.	2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
3 Non lascerà vacillare il tuo piede, non si addormenterà il tuo custode.	3 He will not let your foot be moved, he who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Non si addormenterà, non prenderà sonno, il custode d'Israele.	4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Il Signore è il tuo custode, il Signore è come ombra che ti copre, e sta alla tua destra.	5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
6 Di giorno non ti colpirà il sole, né la luna di notte.	6 The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Il Signore ti proteggerà da ogni male, egli proteggerà la tua vita.	7 The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.
8 Il Signore veglierà su di te, quando esci e quando entri, da ora e per sempre.	8 The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore.
