1 E uscito Iesù fuori del tempio, andorono li suoi discepoli per mostrargli li edificii del tempio.	1 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
2 Ed egli rispondendo disse: vedete tutte queste cose? Dicovi in verità: quivi non sarà lasciata pietra sopra pietra, che non sia ruinata.	2 But he answered them, "You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down."
3 Ma sedendo in sul monte Oliveto (predisse a loro molte cose, e) si accostarono a lui li discepoli suoi, e allora dissero a lui in [secreto: Maestro, dì' a noi: quando queste cose saranno? e quale sarà il segno del tuo avvenimento, e della consumazione del secolo?	3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?"
4 Rispose Iesù, e disse a loro: guardate che nullo non v' inganni.	4 And Jesus answered them, "Take heed that no one leads you astray.
5 Imperò che molti verranno nel nome mio, e diranno: io sono Cristo; e molti inganneranno.	5 For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.
6 Ma quando voi vederete le battaglie, e certamenti di battaglie, non vi turbate; imperò ch' è di bisogno che queste cose si facciano; ma non sarà ancora il fine.	6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
7 Imperò [che] si leverà gente contra gente, e regno contra regno; e saranno pestilenze, e fame, e terremoti (grandi) per li luoghi.	7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places:
8 E tutte queste [cose] fiano incominciamento di dolori.	8 all this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs.
9 Allora vi daranno di molte tribulazioni, e uccideranvi; e sarete in odio a ogni gente per il nome mio.	9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
10 E allora molti si scandalizzeranno, e tradiranno l'uno l'altro, e avrannosi in odio l'uno l'altro.	10 And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another.
11 E molti falsi profeti si leveranno, e inganneranno molti.	11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
12 Imperò che abbonderà l' iniquità, e raffredderassi la carità di molti.	12 And because wickedness is multiplied, most men's love will grow cold.
13 Ma chi persevererà insino alla fine, sì sarà salvo.	13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 E predicherassi questo evangelio del regno in tutto il mondo, in testimonianza a tutte le genti; e allora verrà la consumazione.	14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.
15 Quando adunque voi vederete l'abbominazione della desolazione, la quale è detta per Daniel profeta, stando nel (suo) luogo santo; chi legge, intenda;	15 "So when you see the desolating sacrilege spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
16 allora quelli che sono in Iudea, fuggano alli monti.	16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;
17 E quelli che sono sopra il tetto, non discendano (a terra) a tòrre niuna cosa di casa sua.	17 let him who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house;
18 E quelli che sono nel campo, non tornino a torre la loro gonnella.	18 and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his mantle.
19 Guai a quelle femine, che saranno gravide in quel giorno, e latteranno!	19 And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck in those days!
20 Orate, acciò che il vostro fuggimento non sia l' invernata, ovvero in sabbato.	20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a sabbath.
21 Imperò che allora sarà grande tribulazione, che (in te) non fu mai dal cominciamento del mondo insino a ora, e non sarà mai.	21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
22 E se non fussero quelli dì abbreviati, non si salverebbe ogni carne; ma saranno quelli dì abbreviati per amore delli eletti.	22 And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
23 In quel tempo verranno alcuni che diranno: ecco, costui è Cristo, ovvero: egli è colà: non li credete.	23 Then if any one says to you, 'Lo, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it.
24 Imperò che si leveranno li falsi profeti e bugiardi, e faranno grandi segni e meraviglie, in tal modo ch' etiam gli eletti verrebbeno in errore, se essere potesse.	24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
25 Ecco che io ve l'ho predetto.	25 Lo, I have told you beforehand.
26 E però s' egli vi dicessero: ecco, egli è nel deserto, non uscite fuori; ecoc, egli è nelle case, non vogliate a loro credere.	26 So, if they say to you, 'Lo, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out; if they say, 'Lo, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
27 Imperò che sì come la folgore (e la sagitta) esce dall' oriente, e va insino all' occidente, così sarà l'avvenimento del Figliuolo dell' uomo.	27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
28 E in qualunque luogo sarà il corpo, quivi si raduneranno l' aquile.	28 Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
29 Incontinente dopo la tribulazione di quelli giorni il sole si oscurerà, e la luna non darà il lume suo, e le stelle caderanno dal cielo, e le virtù del cielo si commoveranno.	29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
30 E allora apparirà il segno del Figliuolo dell' uomo in cielo; e allora piangeranno (insieme) tutte le tribù della terra; e vederanno venire il Figliuolo dell' uomo nelle nuvole del cielo con molta grande virtù e potestà.	30 then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory;
31 E mandarà gli angioli suoi con la tromba e con grande voce; e richiameranno li suoi eletti da' quattro venti, dalla sommità de' cieli insino ai termini loro.	31 and he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Adunque imparate dall' arbore del fico questa parabola: vedete, quando (l' arboro del fico) il ramo suo è tenero, e le foglie sono verdi, sapete allora che l'estate si appropinqua.	32 "From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.
33 E così voi, quando vederete tutte queste cose (venire ed essere fatte), sappiate che appresso ci siete.	33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.
34 In verità vi dico, che non passerà questa generazione, che queste cose saranno fatte.	34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place.
35 Il cielo e la terra passeranno; ma le parole mie non mancheranno.	35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
36 Ma di quello di e dell' ora nullo il sa, nè gli angioli del cielo, salvo il solo Padre.	36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
37 E come fu negli giorni di Noè, così etiam sarà l'avvenimento del Figliuolo dell' uomo.	37 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
38 Certo come negli giorni di Noè, dinanzi al diluvio, erano manducanti e beventi, maritanti e danti marito, insino a quel giorno nel qual Noè entrò nell' arca;	38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,
39 e non conobbero insino a tanto che venne il diluvio e levò tutti; così sarà nell' avvenimento del Figliuolo dell' uomo.	39 and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
40 Allora saranno duo nel campo; uno sarà levato, e l'altro sarà lasciato.	40 Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and one is left.
41 Due mole macinanti nel molino; una sarà levata, e l'altra lasciata. (Due saranno in letto; uno sarà tolto, e l'altro lasciato).	41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left.
42 Vigilate adunque; imperò che non sapete in qual ora il vostro Signore debba venire.	42 Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
43 E sappiate che se il padre della famiglia sapesse a che ora dovesse venire il ladro, certamente. vigilarebbe, e non lassarebbe rubare la casa sua.	43 But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.
44 E imperò state apparecchiati; imperò che non sapete l' ora che il Figliuolo dell' uomo debba venire.	44 Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
45 E chi pensi tu, che sia fedel servo e prudente, il qual il Signore ordinò sopra la famiglia sua, acciò che dia a loro il cibo al tempo suo?	45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?
46 Beato è quello servo, che quando verrà il Signore, troverallo così fare.	46 Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing.
47 In verità vi dico ch' egli [lo] ordinerà sopra tutti i suoi beni.	47 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.
48 Ma se l' iniquo servo dirà: il mio signore indugia a venire;	48 But if that wicked servant says to himself, 'My master is delayed,'
49 e incomincerà a percuotere li suoi compagni servi, e manduchi e bevi con li ebrii;	49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eats and drinks with the drunken,
50 verrà il signore di quel servo nel giorno ch' egli non spera, e nell' ora ch' egli non sa;	50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know,
51 e separerallo, e ponerà la sua parte con li ipocriti; ivi sarà pianto e stridore di denti.	51 and will punish him, and put him with the hypocrites; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.
