1 Cantico de' gradi. Dalli luoghi profondi gridai a te, Signore :	1 A song of ascents. Much have they oppressed me from my youth, now let Israel say.
2 Signore, esaudi la orazione mia. Siano fatte le orecchie tue da intendere, nella voce della mia orazione.	2 Much have they oppressed me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed.
3 Signore se tu osservarai le iniquità, Signore, chi le sostenerà?	3 Upon my back the plowers plowed, as they traced their long furrows.
4 Per che appo te è la misericordia; e per la tua legge, Signore, ti ho sustenuto. L'anima mia ha sostenuto nella parola sua;	4 But the just LORD cut me free from the ropes of the yoke of the wicked.
5 l'anima mia ha sperato nel Signore.	5 May they be scattered in disgrace, all who hate Zion.
6 Dalla guardia della mattina insino la notte, sperarà Israel nel Signore.	6 May they be like grass on the rooftops withered in early growth,
7 Per che appresso al Signore è la misericordia; e appresso lui è la abbondante redenzione.	7 Never to fill the reaper's hands, nor the arms of the binders of sheaves,
8 Egli ricompererà Israel da tutte le iniquità	8 With none passing by to call out: "The blessing of the LORD be upon you! We bless you in the name of the LORD!"
