1 Nella fine, il salmo di David per la ottava	1 To the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains;
2 Fa me salvo, Signore, perciò che non si trova santo; però che sono diminuite le verità dai figliuoli degli uomini.	2 for lo, the wicked bend the bow, they have fitted their arrow to the string, to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;
3 Loro hanno parlato cose vane, ciascuno al prossimo suo; li labbri d' inganno hanno nel cuore, e con il cuore hanno parlato.	3 if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do"?
4 Distrugga Iddio tutti i labbri d'inganno, la lingua che molto parla.	4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes behold, his eyelids test, the children of men.
5 I quali dissono: noi magnificheremo la lingua nostra; li labbri nostri sono da noi; e chi è nostro signore?	5 The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates him that loves violence.
6 Per la miseria del mendico, e lo pianto del povero, ora mi leverò, dice il Signore. Porrò (la vostra letizia) nel salvatore, e sicuramente opererò in lui.	6 On the wicked he will rain coals of fire and brimstone; a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 I parlamenti di Dio sono parlari casti, e come argento provato nel fuoco e purgato d?lla terra sette volte.	7 For the LORD is righteous, he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.
8 Tu, Signore, ne guarderai e conserverai da questa generazione in eterno.
9 E i malvagi vanno pure dintorno; secondo l'altezza tua moltiplicasti i figliuoli degli uomini.
