1 Cantico dei gradi. Alzai gli occhi miei verso de' monti, donde verrà a me soccorso.	1 A song of ascents. The LORD answered me when I called in my distress:
2 Il mio aiuto vien dal Signore, che fece il cielo, e la terra.	2 LORD, deliver me from lying lips, from treacherous tongues.
3 Non permetta egli, che vacilli il tuo piede: e non assonni colui, che è tuo custode.	3 What will the Lord inflict on you, O treacherous tongue, and what more besides?
4 Ecco che non assonnerà, né dormirà colui, che custodisce Israele.	4 A warrior's sharpened arrows and fiery coals of brush wood!
