1 Cantico dei gradi. Alzai gli occhi miei verso de' monti, donde verrà a me soccorso.	1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2 Il mio aiuto vien dal Signore, che fece il cielo, e la terra.	2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3 Non permetta egli, che vacilli il tuo piede: e non assonni colui, che è tuo custode.	3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4 Ecco che non assonnerà, né dormirà colui, che custodisce Israele.	4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5 Il Signore ti custodisce: il Signore è tua difesa al tuo destro fianco.	5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6 Non ti brugerà il sole di giorno, né la luna di notte.	6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7 Il Signore ti custodisce da ogni male: custodisca il Signore l'anima tua.	7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
8 Il Signore ti custodisca all'entrare, e all'uscire, da questo punto, e per sempre.
