Біблія	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Гріх Юди — різцем залізним записаний, зубцем алмазним вирізьблений на таблиці їхнього серця і на рогах їхніх жертовників,	1 'The sin of Judah is written with an iron pen, engraved with a diamond point on the tablet of the heartand on the horns of their altars,
2 на пам’ятку їхнім дітям: — жертовники, їхні й ашери під кожним деревом зеленим, на пагорбах високих	2 while their children remember their altars and their sacred pole beside the green trees, on the lofty hil s.
3 і на горах у полі. Багатства твої й усі твої скарби віддам на луп; тим заплатиш за всі твої гріхи у всіх твоїх границях.	3 My mountain on the plain, your wealth and all your treasures I shal hand over to be plundered,because of the sin of your high places throughout your territory.
4 Ти випустиш з руки спадщину, що я тобі дав був. Зроблю тебе рабом твоїх ворогів у землі, якої ти не знаєш, бо зайнявсь вогонь мого гніву, який палатиме повіки.	4 You wil have to relinquish your heritage which I gave you; I wil enslave you to your enemies in acountry which you do not know, for my fiery anger kindled by you wil burn for ever.'
5 Так говорить Господь: «Проклят той, хто уповає на людину і покладає на тіло свою силу, чиє серце відступає від Господа.	5 Yahweh says this, 'Accursed be anyone who trusts in human beings, who relies on human strengthand whose heart turns from Yahweh.
6 Він, мов та билина у степу без листя, не спроможна бачити добра, коли воно надходить, і живе на сухих місцях у пустині, на землі солоній та безлюдній.	6 Such a person is like scrub in the wastelands: when good comes, it does not affect him since he livesin the parched places of the desert, uninhabited, salt land.
7 Щасливий чоловік, який на Господа вповає і чия надія в Господі.	7 'Blessed is anyone who trusts in Yahweh, with Yahweh to rely on.
8 Він, немов дерево, посаджене над водою, що до потоку простягає своє коріння; як прийде спека, воно не боїться, і листя його зеленіє; під час посухи йому байдуже, воно не перестає родити.	8 Such a person is like a tree by the waterside that thrusts its roots to the stream: when the heat comes ithas nothing to fear, its foliage stays green; untroubled in a year of drought, it never stops bearing fruit.
9 Лукаве над усе у світі серце людське — і ледаче! Хто його збагнути може?	9 'The heart is more devious than any other thing, and is depraved; who can pierce its secrets?
10 Я, Господь, вивідую серце, випробовую нутро, щоб відплатити кожному за його діяннями, за плодами його вчинків.	10 I, Yahweh, search the heart, test the motives, to give each person what his conduct and his actionsdeserve.
11 Неначе куропатва, що висиджує чужі яйця, так і той, хто придбав багатство неправно. Посередині свого життя він його втратить, а при смерті дурним виявиться.»	11 'The partridge will hatch eggs it has not laid. No different is the person who gets riches unjustly: hisdays half done, they wil desert him and he prove a fool after al .'
12 Престоле слави, вознесений споконвіку, о місце нашої святині!	12 A glorious throne, sublime from the beginning, such is our Holy Place.
13 Надіє Ізраїля, о Господи! Всі, що тебе покинули, осоромляться. Всі, що від тебе відступають, будуть викорінені з цього краю, бо вони покинули джерело води живої — Господа.	13 Yahweh, hope of Israel, al who abandon you wil be put to shame, those who turn from you wil beregistered in the underworld, since they have abandoned Yahweh, the fountain of living water.
14 Вилікуй мене, о Господи, щоб я одужав, спаси мене, щоб я врятувався, бо ти — моя надія!	14 Heal me, Yahweh, and I shall be healed, save me, and I shal be saved, for you are my praise.
15 Ось вони мені говорять: «Де ж воно, те слово Господнє? Нехай вже збудеться нарешті!»	15 Look, they keep saying to me, 'Where is Yahweh's word? Let it come true then!'
16 Однак же я не клопотався перед тобою про лихо і не бажав я дня нещастя, ти бо те знаєш! Що з уст моїх вийшло, те лежить перед твоїм обличчям.	16 Yet I have never urged you to send disaster, I never desired the fatal day, this you know; what camefrom my lips was not concealed from you.
17 Не будь страховищем для мене, бо ти прибіжище моє в лихій годині!	17 Do not be a terror to me, you, my refuge in time of disaster.
18 Нехай гонителі мої соромляться, мені ж не дай осоромитись; нехай вони бояться, мені ж не дай полохатися. Наведи на них лихоліття і побий, ще раз побий!	18 Let my persecutors be confounded, not me, let them, not me, be terrified. On them bring the day ofdisaster, destroy them, destroy them twice over!
19 Так сказав мені Господь: «Іди й стань у воротях синів народу, що ними входять і виходять царі юдейські, та й на всіх брамах єрусалимських,	19 Yahweh said this to me, 'Go and stand at the Gate of the Sons of the People by which the kings ofJudah go in and out -- and at al the gates of Jerusalem.
20 і промов до них: Слухайте слово Господнє, царі юдейські, і ви, всі юдеї, та всі мешканці єрусалимські, що входите цими брамами!	20 Say to them, "Listen to the word of Yahweh, you kings of Judah, al you people of Judah too, and alyou inhabitants of Jerusalem who pass through the gates.
21 Так говорить Господь: Бережіться, йдеться про ваші душі! Не носіте суботнього дня жадних тягарів і не вносьте їх єрусалимськими брамами.	21 Yahweh says this: As you value your lives, on no account carry a burden on the Sabbath day or bringit in through the gates of Jerusalem.
22 Та й не виносьте суботнього дня жадних тягарів з домів ваших і не робіть ніякого діла, а святкуйте день суботній так, як це я заповідав батькам вашим,	22 Bring no burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day, and do no work. Keep the Sabbath day holy,as I ordered your ancestors.
23 хоч вони й не слухали й не прихиляли вуха свого, а виявили себе тугошиїми, щоб не слухати й не приймати науки.	23 They would not hear, would not pay attention; they deliberately refused to listen or accept instruction.
24 Коли ж ви справді послухаєте мене, — слово Господнє, — і не вноситимете дня суботнього ніякого тягару брамами цього міста та святкуватимете суботній день і не робитимете за нього ніякого діла,	24 But if you listen careful y to me, Yahweh declares, and bring no burden in through the gates of this cityon the Sabbath day, if you keep the Sabbath holy and do no work on that day,
25 то брамами цього міста входитимуть царі й князі, що сидять на Давидовому престолі, що їздять колісницями й кіньми, вони й князі їхні, мужі юдейські та мешканці єрусалимські. Місто це буде заселене повіки.	25 then, through the gates of this city, kings and princes occupying the throne of David wil continue tomake their entry, riding in chariots or on horseback, they, their chief men, the people of Judah and theinhabitants of Jerusalem. And this city wil be inhabited for ever.
26 І приходитимуть з міст юдейських і з околиць єрусалимських, і з землі Веніяминової, і з рівнини, і з гір, і з півдня, та й приноситимуть усепалення й жертви, й офіри, й кадило, і приноситимуть подячні жертви у дім Господній.	26 They wil come from the towns of Judah, from the districts round Jerusalem, from the territory ofBenjamin, from the lowlands, from the highlands, from the Negeb, to offer burnt offering and sacrifice, and cerealoffering and incense, to offer thanksgiving sacrifices in the Temple of Yahweh.
27 Коли ж не послухаєте мене, щоб святкувати день Господній та не носити тягарів і не вносити їх через брами Єрусалиму дня суботнього, то я запалю вогонь у його брамах, і він пожере палаци єрусалимські й не погасне.»	27 But if you do not listen to me to keep the Sabbath day holy, and to refrain from entering the gates ofJerusalem with burdens on the Sabbath day, then I shal set fire to its gates; fire wil devour the palaces ofJerusalem and not be quenched." '
