Osea 3

BIBBIA VOLGARE	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 E disse lo Signore a me: ancora va, e ama la femina amata dallo amico e adultera; sì come ama lo Signore li suoi figliuoli d' Israel, e loro (aspettano e) riguardano alli iddii stranieri, e amano la vinaccia dell' uve.	1 And the Lord said to me: Go yet again, and love a woman beloved of her friend, and an adulteress : as the Lord loveth the children of Israel, and they look to strange gods, and love the husks of the grapes.
2 E pattovi'la a me per XV danari d' argento, e per uno coro d' orzo, e mezzo; (lo coro sì è una misura di XXX moggia la quale loro usano).	2 And I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a core of barley, and for half a core of barley.
3 E dissi a lei: tu aspetterai me per molti dì; guarda che non commetta fornicazione, e guarda che non ti congiunga a uomo; ma io aspetterò te.	3 And I said to her: Thou shalt wait for me many days: thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt be no man's, and I also will wait for thee.
4 Però che li figliuoli d' Israel sederanno per molti di (e staranno) sanza re e sanza principe e sanza sacrificio e sanza altare e sanza (veste sacerdotale che si chiama) efod e sanza i cherubini e gli altri ornamenti dell' altare.	4 For the children of Israel shall sit many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without altar, and without ephod, and without theraphim.
5 E dopo questo ritorneranno li figliuoli d' Israel per addomandare lo suo Signore Iddio, e David lo suo re; e temeranno Iddio, e al suo bene, nella fine delli di loro.	5 And after this the children of Israel shall return, and shall seek the Lord their God, and David their king: and they shall fear the Lord, and his goodness in the last days.
