Isaia 59

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ed ecco, la mano di Dio non abbrevierà, che non possa salvare; e la sua orecchia non è aggravata, che non possa udire.	1 No, the arm of Yahweh is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear,
2 Ma le vostre malvagitadi hanno posto divisione ora intra voi e il vostro Iddio; e li vostri peccati hanno la faccia sua nascosa a voi, acciò ch' egli non esaudisca voi.	2 but your guilty deeds have made a gulf between you and your God. Your sins have made him hide hisface from you so as not to hear you,
3 Però che le vostre mani sono contaminate (e abbruttate) di sangue, e le vostre dita di malvagitadi; e le vostre labbra hanno parlato bugia, e la vostra lingua parla malvagitade.	3 since your hands are stained with blood and your fingers with guilt; your lips utter lies, your tonguesmurmur wickedness.
4 Non è alcuno che. giudichi veritade; ma confidansi in niente, e parlano vanitadi; concepettono fatica, e partorirono iniquitade.	4 No one makes upright accusations or pleads sincerely. Al rely on empty words, utter falsehood,conceive trouble and give birth to evil.
5 E ruppono l'ova degli aspidi, e tesserono le tele dello ragnolo; qualunque averà manicato delle loro ova, morrà; e quello che sarà nutricato uscirà fuori in basilisco.	5 They are hatching adders' eggs and weaving a spider's web; eat one of their eggs and you die, crushone and a viper emerges.
6 Le loro tele non saranno per vestimento, e non si copriranno per le loro opere; le opere loro sono opere disutili, e ancora sono opere di malvagitadi.	6 Their webs are useless for clothing, their deeds are useless for wearing; their deeds are deeds of guilt,violence fil s their hands.
7 Li loro piedi corrono a malfare, e affrettansi acciò che spargano lo sangue innocente; e' loro pensieri sono pensieri sanza utilitade, e nelle loro vie sì è guastamento e fracasso.	7 Their feet run to do evil; they are quick to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of guilt,wherever they go there is havoc and ruin.
8 E non seppono la via della pace, e non è giudicio nelli loro andamenti; le loro vie sono inchinate a loro, e ogni uomo che va per quelle non conosce la pace.	8 They do not know the way of peace, there is no fair judgement in their course, they have made theirown crooked paths, and no one treading them knows any peace.
9 E però è dilungato da noi lo giudicio, e la giustizia non si appiglierà a noi; noi abbiamo aspettato la luce, ed ecco le tenebre; abbiamo aspettato lo splendore, e noi andiamo per le tenebre.	9 Thus fair judgement is remote from us nor can uprightness overtake us. We looked for light and all isdarkness, for brightness and we walk in gloom.
10 Abbiamo palpato come fanno i ciechi alle pareti, e accostammoci quasi come se noi non avessimo avuti occhi; andammo nel mezzo di quasi come in tenebre, e in oscuritadi quasi come morti.	10 Like the blind we feel our way along walls, we grope our way like people without eyes. We stumble asthough noon were twilight, among the robust we are like the dead.
11 E ruggiremo quasi come orsi, e piagneremo quasi come colombe meditando; abbiamo aspettato lo giudicio, e non v'è; abbiamo aspettato la salute, e dilungossi da noi.	11 We growl, al of us, like bears, like doves we make no sound but moaning, waiting for the fairjudgement that never comes, for salvation, but that is far away.
12 E le nostre malvagitadi sono multiplicate innanzi a te, e li nostri peccati rispuosono a noi; però che le nostre fellonie sono con noi, e noi conosciamo le nostre malvagitadi.	12 How often we have rebel ed against you and our sins bear witness against us. Our rebellious acts areindeed with us, we are wel aware of our guilt:
13 Però che pecchiamo e mentiamo contro a Dio, e siamo rivolti per non andare dopo le reni del nostro Signore, parlare calunnia e travalicare li suoi comandamenti; noi ci facemmo concetto, e parlammo del nostro cuore parole di bugia.	13 rebel ion and denial of Yahweh, turning our back on our God, talking violence and revolt, murmuringlies in our heart.
14 E lo giudicio si voltò addietro, e la giustizia stette da lungi; però che la veritade cadde nelle piazze, e la dirittura non ci potè entrare.	14 Fair judgement is driven away and saving justice stands aloof, for good faith has stumbled in thestreet and sincerity cannot enter.
15 Però che la veritade si è posta in dimenticazione; e quello che si partì dal male si manifestò alla preda; e lo Signore vidde, e li mali apparirono alli suoi occhi, però che non fu giudicio.	15 Good faith has vanished; anyone abstaining from evil is victimised. Yahweh saw this and wasdispleased that there was no fair judgement.
16 E vidde che non era ivi uomo; e attristossi, poi che (vidde che) non era chi li venisse incontro; e salverà a sè lo suo braccio, e la sua giustizia confermerà lui.	16 He saw there was no one and wondered there was no one to intervene. So he made his own arm hismainstay, his own saving justice his support.
17 E vestissi di giustizia, come una panciera, e puosesi in capo l' elmo della salute; e vestissi di vestimenta di vendetta, e copersesi quasi come d' uno pallio di zelo (di vendetta).	17 He put on saving justice like a breastplate, on his head the helmet of salvation. He put on the clothesof vengeance like a tunic and wrapped himself in jealousy like a cloak.
18 E così anderà a vendetta, quasi come a retribuzione d' indegnazione a' suoi nemici; e renderà (loro) lo loro merito a' suoi nemici, e renderà alle isole la mercede loro.	18 To each he repays his due, retribution to his enemies, reprisals on his foes, to the coasts and islandshe wil repay their due.
19 E temeranno, quelli che sono da occidente, lo nome di Dio; e quelli che sono da oriente, la sua gloria; quando sarà venuto come fiume violento, lo quale lo spirito del Signore costrigne;	19 From the west, Yahweh's name wil be feared, and from the east, his glory, for he will come like apent-up stream impel ed by the breath of Yahweh.
20 e verrà Sion redentore, e a quelli i quali ritornano dalla iniquitade in Iacob, dice lo Signore Iddio.	20 Then for Zion wil come a redeemer, for those who stop rebel ing in Jacob, declares Yahweh.
21 Questo si è lo mio patto con loro; (e allora), dice Iddio: lo mio spirito lo quale è in te, lo quale io puosi nella tua bocca,n on si parta dalla bocca tua, e dalla bocca del tuo dice lo Signore Iddio, oggimai seme, insino in sempiterno.	21 'For my part, this is my covenant with them, says Yahweh. My spirit with which I endowed you, andmy words that I have put in your mouth, wil not leave your mouth, or the mouths of your children, or the mouthsof your children's children, says Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.'
