Iob 32

1 Lasciarono adunque questi tre uomini di rispondere a Iob, perciò che parea loro che fosse giusto.	1 Then the three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2 E adirato e indegnato è Eliu figliuolo di Barachel Buzite, dello parentado di Ram; ed è adirato contro a Iob, perciò ch' elli diceva ch' era giusto innanzi al Signore.	2 But the anger of Elihu, son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled. He was angry with Job for considering himself rather than God to be in the right.
3 E al tutto contro alli amici suoi indignato è, imperciò che non aveano trovata responsione ragionevole, ma solamente condannavano Iob.	3 He was angry also with the three friends because they had not found a good answer and had not condemned Job.
4 Adunque Eliu aspettava Iob favellante; perciò ch' erano più vecchi di lui coloro che favellavano.	4 But since these men were older than he, Elihu bided his time before addressing Job.
5 E conciosia cosa che lui avesse udito che non potessono respondere, adiratosi è fortemente.	5 When, however, Elihu saw that there was no reply in the mouths of the three men, his wrath was inflamed.
6 E rispose Eliu figliuolo di Barachel Buzite, e disse più giovane di tempo sono, e voi più antichi; dunque (qui è) chinato lo capo, mi son vergognato di dimostrare a voi la mia sentenza.	6 So Elihu, son of Barachel the Buzite, spoke out and said: I am young and you are very old; therefore I held back and was afraid to declare to you my knowledge.
7 In verità io sperai che la età più lunga favellasse, e la moltitudine degli anni insegnasse la sapienza.	7 Days should speak, I thought, and many years teach wisdom!
8 Ma, secondo ch' io vidi, lo spirito è nelli uomini, e la inspirazione Odell' nnipotente dà la intelligenza.	8 But it is a spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.
9 Non sono di lungo tempo li savii, nè li vecchi intendono lo giudicio.	9 It is not those of many days who are wise, nor the aged who understand the right.
10 E però dirò: attendete me, e anche io mostrerò a voi la mia scienza.	10 Therefore I say, hearken to me; let me too set forth my knowledge!
11 Certo io aspettai le vostre parole; udi' la vostra prudenza, infino che voi disputavate colle vostre parole.	11 Behold, I have waited for your discourses, and have given ear to your arguments.
12 E insino ch' io pensava che voi diceste alcuna cosa, considerava; ma, secondo ch' io veggio, non è chi possa riprendere Iob (di voi), e rispondere di voi alle parole sue.	12 Yes, I followed you attentively as you searched out what to say; And behold, there is none who has convicted Job, not one of you who could refute his statements.
13 Acciò che forse voi non diciate: noi abbiamo trovata la sapienza, Iddio gittoe lui, ma non l'uomo.	13 Yet do not say, "We have met wisdom. God may vanquish him but not man!"
14 Niuna cosa favellò a me; e io risponderò a lui, non secondo le vostre parole.	14 For had he addressed his words to me, I should not then have answered him as you have done.
15 Temettono coloro, e non risposero più, e partironsi da loro li favellari.	15 They are dismayed, they make no more reply; words fail them.
16 Adunque, perciò ch' io aspettai, e non favellorono; stettero e non risposero più;	16 Must I wait? Now that they speak no more, and have ceased to make reply,
17 e io risponderò la mia parte, e mostrerò la mia scienza.	17 I too will speak my part; I also will show my knowledge!
18 Certo io sono pieno di parole, e constrigne me lo spirito del ventre mio.	18 For I am full of matters to utter; the spirit within me compels me.
19 Però che lo ventre mio è quasi mosto sanza spiraglio, e dirompe li nuovi vaselli.	19 Like a new wineskin with wine under pressure, my bosom is ready to burst.
20 E favellerò, e ispirerò uno poco; aprirò le mie labbra, e risponderoe.	20 Let me speak and obtain relief; let me open my lips, and make reply.
21 Non torroe la persona dell' uomo, e Iddio all' uomo non assomigliarò.	21 I would not be partial to anyone, nor give flattering titles to any.
22 Certo io non soe quanto basteroe, e se dopo uno pochettino torrae me lo mio fattore.	22 For I know nought of flattery; if I did, my Maker would soon take me away.
