Jeremias 30

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Dirigiu o Senhor nestes termos a palavra a Jeremias.	1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, as follows,
2 Eis o que disse o Senhor, Deus de Israel: consignarás em um livro todas as palavras que te tenho dito.	2 'Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, "Write for yourself in a book al the words I have spoken to you.
3 Pois dias virão - oráculo do Senhor - em que mudarei a sorte de meu povo, Israel e Judá, disse o Senhor, a fim de reintegrá-lo na posse da terra que havia dado a seus pais.	3 For look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal bring back the captives of my peopleIsrael (and Judah), Yahweh says. I shall make them come back and take possession of the country I gave totheir ancestors." '
4 Eis as palavras que pronunciou o Senhor a respeito de Judá.	4 These are the words Yahweh spoke about Israel (and Judah):
5 Eis o que disse o Senhor: fez-se ouvir um grito de pavor e por toda parte o espanto! Acabou-se a paz!	5 Yahweh says this: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, not of peace.
6 Perguntai! Vede se um homem pode dar à luz. Por que, então, vejo todos os homens com as mãos sobre os rins qual a mulher em parto? Por que trazem essa palidez em seus semblantes?	6 Now ask and see: can a man bear children? Then why do I see each man with his hands on his loinslike a woman in labour? Why has every face grown pale?
7 Desgraça! Nenhum dia se assemelha a este; tempo de tribulação para Jacó, do qual, porém, será libertado.	7 Disaster! This is the great day, no other like it: a time of distress for Jacob, though he will be savedfrom it.
8 Naquele dia - oráculo do Senhor dos exércitos - partirei o jugo que lhe pesa ao pescoço e lhe romperei os laços. Não serão mais cativos dos estrangeiros,	8 (That day, Yahweh Sabaoth declares, I shal break the yoke now on your neck and snap your chains;and foreigners wil enslave you no more,
9 mas servirão o Senhor, seu Deus, e Davi, seu rei, que eu lhes suscitarei.	9 but Israel and Judah wil serve Yahweh their God, and David their king whom I shal raise up for them.)
10 E tu, Jacó, meu servo, não temas - oráculo do Senhor -; não tremas, Israel, pois que te vou retirar da terra longínqua, assim como tua raça da terra do exílio. Jacó tornará a viver na tranqüilidade e em segurança, sem que ninguém mais o perturbe.	10 So do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Yahweh declares, Israel, do not be alarmed: for look, I shalrescue you from distant countries and your descendants from the country where they are captive. Jacob wilreturn and be at peace, secure, with no one to trouble him.
11 Estou contigo - oráculo do Senhor - para livrar-te. Aniquilarei os povos entre os quais te dispersei. A ti, porém, não destruirei; castigar-te-ei com eqüidade, sem te deixar impune.	11 For I am with you to save you, Yahweh declares, I shal make an end of all the nations where I havedriven you, but I shall not make an end of you, only discipline you in moderation, not to let you go quiteunpunished.
12 Porque eis o que diz o Senhor: tua ferida é incurável e perigosa a tua chaga.	12 Yes, Yahweh says this: Your wound is incurable, your injury past healing.
13 Ninguém quer tomar o encargo de curá-la, não há para ti remédio nem emplasto.	13 There is no one to plead your cause; for an ulcer there are remedies, but for you no cure at al .
14 Esqueceram-te os que te amavam, e contigo nem mais se preocupam. Pois que te feri, como se fere um inimigo, com cruel castigo, por causa da gravidade de tua falta e do número de teus pecados.	14 Al your lovers have forgotten you, they look for you no more. Yes, I have struck you as an enemystrikes, with cruel punishment (because of your great guilt and countless sins).
15 Por que choras sobre tua ferida? Por que incurável é tua dor? É por causa da gravidade de tua falta e do número de teus pecados que te fiz isso.	15 Why cry out because of your wound? Your pain is incurable! Because of your great guilt andcountless sins, I have treated you like this.
16 Todos aqueles, contudo, que te devoram, serão devorados; irão para o cativeiro teus opressores; teus destruidores serão despojados, e entregarei ao saque os que te pilharam.	16 But al those who devoured you wil be devoured, al your enemies, al , go into captivity, those whodespoiled you will be despoiled, and al who pillaged you be pil aged.
17 Vou enfaixar tuas chagas e curar tuas feridas - oráculo do Senhor. Chamam-te a Repudiada, Sião, de quem não mais se cuida.	17 For I shal restore you to health and heal your wounds, Yahweh declares, you who used to be called'Outcast', 'Zion for whom no one cares'.
18 Mas, eis o que diz o Senhor: restaurarei as tendas de Jacó, e me apiedarei de suas moradas. Será a cidade reconstruída em sua colina, e reedificado o palácio no primitivo lugar.	18 Yahweh says this: Look, I shal restore the tents of Jacob and take pity on his dwel ings: the town wilbe rebuilt on its mound, the stronghold where it ought to stand.
19 Cânticos de louvor se erguerão e gritos de alegria. Multiplicar-lhes-ei o número, que não será mais reduzido; eu os exaltarei, e não serão mais humilhados.	19 From them wil come thanksgiving and shouts of joy. I shal make them increase, they wil notdecrease; I shal make them honoured, no more to be humbled.
20 Os filhos serão como eram outrora, e forte será diante de mim sua assembléia; eu castigarei seus opressores.	20 Their sons wil be as once they were, their community fixed firmly before me, and I shal punish alltheir oppressors.
21 Um dentre eles será o chefe, e do meio deles sairá seu soberano. Mandarei buscá-lo, e perante mim terá acesso, porque nenhum homem se arriscaria a aproximar-se de mim - oráculo do Senhor.	21 Their prince wil be one of their own, their ruler come from their own people, and I shal permit him toapproach me freely; for who, otherwise, would be so bold as to approach me, Yahweh demands?
22 Sereis o meu povo, e eu, o vosso Deus.	22 You wil be my people and I shal be your God.
23 Eis a tempestade do Senhor, a explosão do seu furor, a borrasca que turbilhona, prestes a irromper sobre a cabeça dos maus.	23 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a roaring hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;
24 Não se acalmará a cólera do Senhor, sem que cumpra e realize seus desígnios. Somente nos dias que virão, havereis de compreender.	24 Yahweh's burning anger wil not turn aside until he has performed, has carried out, what he has inmind. In the final days, you wil understand this.
