Levítico 9

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 No oitavo dia, Moisés chamou Aarão e seus filhos com os anciãos de Israel.	1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;
2 E disse a Aarão: "Toma um bezerro, em sacrifício pelo pecado, e também um carneiro para o holocausto, ambos sem defeito, e oferece-os ao Senhor.	2 he said to Aaron, 'Take a calf to offer a sacrifice for sin, and a ram for a burnt offering, both withoutblemish, and bring them before Yahweh.
3 Dirás aos israelitas: tomai um bode, em sacrifício pelo pecado, um bezerro e um cordeiro de um ano, sem defeito, para o holocausto,	3 Then say to the Israelites, "Take a goat to be offered as a sacrifice for sin, a calf and a lamb one yearold (both without blemish) for a burnt offering,
4 um touro e um carneiro para o sacrifício pacífico; vós os imolareis ao Senhor com uma oblação amassada com óleo, porque o Senhor vos aparecerá hoje."	4 a bul and a ram for communion sacrifices to be slaughtered before Yahweh, and a cereal offeringmixed with oil. For Yahweh wil appear to you today." '
5 Eles trouxeram diante da tenda de reunião o que Moisés havia ordenado. Toda a assembléia se aproximou e ficou de pé diante do Senhor.	5 They brought what Moses had ordered in front of the Tent of Meeting; then the whole communityapproached and stood before Yahweh.
6 Moisés disse então: "Eis o que ordena o Senhor: fazei-o, e a glória do Senhor vos aparecerá".	6 Moses then said, 'This is what Yahweh has ordered you to do, so that his glory may be visible to you.'
7 E disse a Aarão: "Aproxima-te do altar; oferece teu sacrifício pelo pecado, e teu holocausto, e faze a expiação por ti e pelo povo. Apresenta também a oferta do povo, e faze a expiação por ele como o Senhor o ordenou".	7 Moses then addressed Aaron, 'Go to the altar and offer your sacrifice for sin and your burnt offering,and so perform the rite of expiation for yourself and your family. Then present the people's offering and performthe rite of expiation for them, as Yahweh has ordered.'
8 Aarão aproximou-se do altar e imolou o bezerro do sacrifício pelo pecado.	8 Aaron went to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sacrifice for his own sin.
9 Seus filhos apresentaram-lhe o sangue, no qual ele mergulhou o dedo e o pôs nos cornos do altar, derramando o resto ao pé do altar.	9 Aaron's sons then presented the blood to him; he dipped his finger in it and put some on the horns ofthe altar, and then poured the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.
10 Queimou sobre o altar a gordura, os rins, a pele que recobre o fígado da vítima pelo pecado, como o Senhor o tinha ordenado a Moisés;	10 The fat of the sacrifice for sin and the kidneys and the mass of fat over the liver he burned on the altar,as Yahweh had ordered Moses,
11 mas queimou fora do acampamento a carne e o couro.	11 and the meat and the skin he burned outside the camp.
12 Imolou, em seguida, o holocausto. Seus filhos apresentaram-lhe o sangue, que ele derramou sobre o altar ao redor.	12 He then slaughtered the burnt offering; Aaron's sons then handed him the blood, which he poured alaround the altar.
13 Apresentaram-lhe o holocausto cortado em pedaços, com a cabeça, e ele os queimou no altar.	13 They then handed him the quartered victim and the head, and he burned these on the altar.
14 Lavou as entranhas e as pernas, e as pernas, e as queimou no altar por cima do holocausto.	14 He then washed the entrails and shins and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.
15 Apresentou também a oferta do povo, e, tomando o bode do sacrifício pelo pecado do povo, degolou-o e o ofereceu em expiação como a primeira vítima.	15 He then presented the people's offering. He took the goat for the people's sacrifice for sin, slaughteredit, and made a sacrifice for sin with it in the same way as with the first.
16 Ofereceu o holocausto e fez o sacrifício segundo o rito.	16 He then had the burnt offering brought forward and proceeded according to the ritual.
17 Apresentou a oblação, e dela tomou um punhado que queimou no altar, além do holocausto da manhã.	17 He then had the cereal offering brought forward, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar inaddition to the morning burnt offering.
18 Imolou o touro e o carneiro em sacrifício pacífico pelo povo.	18 Then he slaughtered the bul and the ram as a communion sacrifice for the people. Aaron's sonshanded him the blood and he poured it al around the altar.
19 Os filhos de Aarão apresentaram-lhe o sangue, que ele derramou sobre o altar ao redor, assim como as partes gordas do touro e do carneiro, a cauda, a gordura que envolve as entranhas, os rins e a pele que recobre o fígado.	19 The fat of the bul and the ram, the tail, the covering fat, the kidneys, the mass of fat over the liver,
20 Puseram as gorduras sobre os peito, e Aarão queimou as gorduras no altar.	20 he placed on the ribs and then burned on the altar.
21 Agitou, em seguida, como oferta diante do Senhor, os peitos e a coxa direita, como o tinha prescrito Moisés.	21 With the ribs and the right thigh Aaron made the gesture of offering as Yahweh had ordered Moses.
22 Aarão levantou então as mãos para o povo, e o abençoou. Desceu após ter oferecido o sacrifício pelo pecado, o holocausto e o sacrifício pacífico.	22 Aaron then raised his hands towards the people and blessed them. Having thus performed thesacrifice for sin, the burnt offering and the communion sacrifice, he came down
23 Moisés e Aarão entraram na tenda de reunião e, saindo, abençoaram o povo. E a glória do Senhor apareceu a todo o povo.	23 and entered the Tent of Meeting with Moses. Then they came out together to bless the people and theglory of Yahweh appeared to the entire people:
24 Saiu um fogo de diante do Senhor que devorou no altar o holocausto e as gorduras. Vendo isso, todo o povo soltou gritos de júbilo e prostrou-se com a face por terra.	24 a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and consumed the burnt offering and fat on the altar. At thissight the entire people shouted for joy and fel on their faces.
