Livro dos Salmos 63

SAGRADA BIBLIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Salmo de Davi, quando se achava no deserto de Judá. Ó Deus, vós sois o meu Deus, com ardor vos procuro. Minha alma está sedenta de vós, e minha carne por vós anela como a terra árida e sequiosa, sem água.	1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 Quero vos contemplar no santuário, para ver vosso poder e vossa glória.	2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Porque vossa graça me é mais preciosa do que a vida, meus lábios entoarão vossos louvores.	3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Assim vos bendirei em toda a minha vida, com minhas mãos erguidas vosso nome adorarei.	4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 Minha alma saciada como de fino manjar, com exultante alegria meus lábios vos louvarão.	5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 Quando, no leito, me vem vossa lembrança, passo a noite toda pensando em vós.	6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
7 Porque vós sois o meu apoio, exulto de alegria, à sombra de vossas asas.	7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 Minha alma está unida a vós, sustenta-me a vossa destra.	8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
9 Quanto aos que me procuram perder, cairão nas profundezas dos abismos,	9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10 serão passados a fio de espada, e se tornarão pasto dos chacais.	10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 O rei, porém, se alegrará em Deus. Será glorificado todo o que jurar pelo seu nome, enquanto aos mendazes lhes será tapada a boca.	11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
