Livro dos Salmos 14

SAGRADA BIBLIA	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Ao mestre de canto. De Davi. Diz o insensato em seu coração: Não há Deus. Corromperam-se os homens, sua conduta é abominável, não há um só que faça o bem.	1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 O Senhor, do alto do céu, observa os filhos dos homens, para ver se, acaso, existe alguém sensato que busque a Deus.	2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 Mas todos eles se extraviaram e se perverteram; não há mais ninguém que faça o bem, nem um, nem mesmo um só.	3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Não se emendarão esses obreiros do mal, que devoram meu povo como quem come pão? Eles que não invocam o Senhor?	4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
5 Mas irão tremer de pavor, porque Deus está com a raça dos justos;	5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 pretendeis frustrar os planos do humilde, mas o Senhor é seu refúgio.	6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
7 Ah, que venha de Sião a salvação de Israel! Quando o Senhor tiver mudado a sorte de seu povo, Jacó exultará e Israel se alegrará.	7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
