SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ao mestre de canto. Salmo de Davi. Até quando, Senhor, de todo vos esquecereis de mim? Por quanto tempo ainda desviareis de mim os vossos olhares?	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] How long, Yahweh, wil you forget me? For ever? How long wilyou turn away your face from me?
2 Até quando aninharei a angústia na minha alma, e, dia após dia, a tristeza no coração?	2 How long must I nurse rebel ion in my soul, sorrow in my heart day and night? How long is the enemyto domineer over me?
3 Até quando se levantará o meu inimigo contra mim? Olhai! Ouvi-me, Senhor, ó meu Deus!	3 Look down, answer me, Yahweh my God! Give light to my eyes or I shal fal into the sleep of death.
4 Iluminai meus olhos com vossa luz, para eu não adormecer na morte, para que meu inimigo não venha a dizer: Venci-o;	4 Or my foe will boast, 'I have overpowered him,' and my enemy have the joy of seeing me stumble.
5 e meus adversários não triunfem no momento de minha queda, eu que confiei em vossa misericórdia. Antes possa meu coração regozijar-se em vosso socorro!	5 As for me, I trust in your faithful love, Yahweh. Let my heart delight in your saving help, let me sing toYahweh for his generosity to me, let me sing to the name of Yahweh the Most High!
6 Então cantarei ao Senhor pelos benefícios que me concedeu.
