| 7 Em vista deste ato de humildade, a palavra do Senhor foi dirigida a Semaías nestes termos: Eles se humilharam; não os deitarei a perder. Dar-lhes-ei em breve um meio de salvação. Minha ira não se desencadeará sobre Jerusalém pela mão de Sesac. | 7 When the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah: "They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak. |

Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel to put his name there. His mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. |

A guerra entre Roboão e Jeroboão foi contínua. | 15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, from first to last, are they not written in the chronicles of Shemaiah the prophet and of Iddo the seer? There were continual wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam. |
| 16 Depois disso, Roboão adormeceu com seus pais e foi sepultado na cidade de Davi. Seu filho Abia sucedeu-lhe no trono. | 16 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David; and Abijah his son reigned in his stead. |
