1 Filhos de Rubem, primogênito de Israel. Com efeito, era ele o mais velho, mas como tinha manchado o leito de seu pai, seu direito de primogenitura foi dado aos filhos de José, filho de Israel. 23 Os filhos da meia tribo de Manassés moravam na terra desde Basã, até o Baal-Hermon, o Sanir e a montanha do Hermon; eram numerosos.	23 The sons of the half-tribe of Manasseh lived in the territory between Bashan and Baal-Hermon, Senirand Mount Hermon. They were numerous.
24 Eis os chefes de suas famílias patriarcais: Efer, Jesi, Eliel, Ezriel, Jeremias, Odoia e Jediel, homens valentes e poderosos, célebres chefes de suas casas patriarcais.	24 These were the heads of their families: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, Jahdiel -- stoutfighting men, men of renown, heads of their families.

	35 Ahimaaz fathered Azariah, Azariah fathered Johanan.
	36 Johanan fathered Azariah. He it was who officiated as priest in the Temple which Solomon built inJerusalem.
	37 Azariah fathered Amariah, Amariah fathered Ahitub,
	38 Ahitub fathered Zadok, Zadok fathered Shallum,
	39 Shallum fathered Hilkiah, Hilkiah fathered Azariah,
	40 Azariah fathered Seraiah, Seraiah fathered Jehozadak,
	41 and Jehozadak went into exile when, at the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, Yahweh exiled Judah andJerusalem.
