LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Riguardo poi alla colletta in corso a favore dei santi, fate anche voi come ho ordinato alle chiese della Galazia.	1 Now about the collection for God's holy people; you are to do the same as I prescribed for thechurches in Galatia.
2 Ogni primo giorno della settimana ciascuno metta in disparte, per conservarlo, quel tanto che gli viene bene, onde non si debbano fare collette quando io venga.	2 On the first day of the week, each of you should put aside and reserve as much as each can spare; donot delay the col ection til I arrive.
3 Quando verrò, manderò con una mia lettera quelli che voi avrete scelto per portare il dono della vostra benevolenza a Gerusalemme.	3 When I come, I wil send to Jerusalem with letters of introduction those people you approve to deliveryour gift;
4 E se sembrerà bene che vada anch'io, partiranno con me.	4 if it is worth my going too, they can travel with me.
5 Verrò da voi dopo aver attraversato la Macedonia; ho infatti intenzione di attraversare la Macedonia,	5 In any case, I shal be coming to you after I have passed through Macedonia, as I have to go throughMacedonia;
6 e giunto da voi, mi fermerò, o anche passerò l'inverno, per essere poi congedato da voi, dovunque debba andare.	6 and I may be staying some time with you, perhaps wintering, so that you can start me on my nextjourney, wherever I may be going.
7 Non voglio assolutamente vedervi solo di passaggio, ma spero di trascorrere un po' di tempo con voi, se il Signore lo permetterà.	7 I do not want to make only a passing visit to you, and I am hoping to spend quite a time with you, theLord permitting.
8 Mi fermerò tuttavia a Efeso fino a Pentecoste,	8 But I shal remain at Ephesus until Pentecost,
9 perché mi si è aperta una porta grande e favorevole, anche se gli avversari sono molti.	9 for a very promising door is standing wide open to me and there are many against us.
10 Se viene Timoteo, fate che non si trovi in soggezione presso di voi: lavora per l'opera del Signore al pari di me.	10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he has nothing to fear from you; he is doing the Lord's work, justas I am,
11 Perciò nessuno gli manchi di riguardo. Accomiatatelo in pace, perché venga da me, che lo aspetto con i fratelli.	11 and nobody is to underrate him. Start him off in peace on his journey to come on to me: the brothersand I are waiting for him.
12 Quanto al fratello Apollo, io l'ho pregato vivamente di venire da voi con i fratelli, ma non ha voluto saperne di partire adesso; verrà tuttavia quando gli si presenterà l'occasione.	12 As for our brother Apollos, I urged him earnestly to come to you with the brothers, but he was quitefirm that he did not want to go yet, and he wil come when he finds an opportunity.
13 Vigilate, state saldi nella fede, siate uomini, siate forti.	13 Be vigilant, stay firm in the faith, be brave and strong.
14 Tutto si faccia tra voi nella carità.	14 Let everything you do be done in love.
15 Una raccomandazione ancora, o fratelli: conoscete la famiglia di Stefana, che è primizia dell'Acaia e hanno votato se stessi a servizio dei santi;	15 There is something else I must urge you to do, brothers. You know how Stephanas' family have beenthe first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of God's holy people;
16 siate anche voi obbedienti verso di loro e verso quanti collaborano e si affaticano.	16 I ask you in turn to put yourselves at the service of people like this and all that work with them in thisarduous task.
17 Godo della presenza di Stefana, di Fortunato e di Acaico, i quali hanno supplito alla vostra mancanza;	17 I am delighted that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived; they have made up foryour not being here.
18 hanno allietato il mio spirito e allieteranno il vostro. Sappiate riconoscere queste persone.	18 They have set my mind at rest, just as they did yours; you should appreciate people like them.
19 Le chiese dell'Asia vi salutano. Vi salutano molto nel Signore Aquila e Prisca con la comunità che si raduna nella loro casa.	19 The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Prisca send their best wishes in the Lord,together with the church that meets in their house.
20 Vi salutano i fratelli tutti. Salutatevi a vicenda con il bacio santo.	20 Al the brothers send their greetings. Greet one another with the holy kiss.

24 Il mio affetto con tutti voi in Cristo Gesù!	24 My love is with you all in Christ Jesus.
