1 Inno. Di Davide. Custodiscimi, o Dio: in te mi rifugio.	1 A miktam of David. Keep me safe, O God; in you I take refuge
2 Ho detto al Signore: "Il mio Signore sei tu, al di sopra di te non ho alcun bene".	2 I say to the Lord, you are my Lord, you are my only good.
3 Per i santi che sono sulla terra sta tutto il suo zelo; Egli rende mirabile in essi tutto il suo favore.	3 Worthless are all the false gods of the land. Accursed are all who delight in them.
4 Moltiplicano i loro affanni quanti si affrettano verso un dio straniero. Io non verserò le loro libagioni di sangue, né i loro nomi porterò sulle mie labbra.	4 They multiply their sorrows who court other gods. Blood libations to them I will not pour out, nor will I take their names upon my lips.
5 Signore, sorte della mia eredità e mia coppa, tu tieni saldo nelle tue mani il mio destino;	5 LORD, my allotted portion and my cup, you have made my destiny secure.
6 le corde sono cadute per me in terreno ubertoso, la mia eredità mi piace davvero!	6 Pleasant places were measured out for me; fair to me indeed is my inheritance.
7 Benedirò il Signore che mi ha dato consiglio, anche di notte mi ammoniscono i miei reni.	7 I bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my heart exhorts me.
8 Il Signore sta sempre dinanzi ai miei occhi: se sta alla mia destra, non vacillerò.	8 I keep the LORD always before me; with the Lord at my right, I shall never be shaken.
9 Per questo è lieto il mio cuore e gioisce il mio intimo, perfino la mia carne riposa al sicuro.	9 Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure,
10 Sì, non consegnerai la mia anima in preda agli inferi, non permetterai al tuo fedele di scendere nella tomba.	10 For you will not abandon me to Sheol, nor let your faithful servant see the pit.
11 Mi farai conoscere la via della vita: gioia in abbondanza alla tua presenza, delizia alla tua destra senza fine.	11 You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.
