1 - Al corifeo: su flauti. Salmo di David.	1 Unto the end. For her who pursues the inheritance. A Psalm of David.
2 Alle mie parole presta orecchio, o Signore, intendi il mio grido,	2 O Lord, listen closely to my words. Understand my outcry.
3 bada alla voce della mia supplica, o mio re e mio Dio.	3 Attend to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God.
4 Perchè a te inalzo la preghiera, o Signore; la mattina tu ascolti la mia voce.	4 For to you, I will pray. In the morning, Lord, you will hear my voice.
5 La mattina a te mi presentoe guardo [in attesa d'aiuto]. Perchè non un Dio tu sei che si compiace dell'iniquità,	5 In the morning, I will stand before you, and I will see. For you are not a God who wills iniquity.
6 nè alloggia presso di te il perfido, nè reggono i ribaldidinanzi ai tuoi occhi.	6 And the malicious will not dwell close to you, nor will the unjust endure before your eyes.
7 Tu odii tutti gli operatori d'iniquità, e disperdi tutti quei che parlan menzogna. L'uomo di sangue e di frodel'abomina il Signore.	7 You hate all who work iniquity. You will destroy all who speak a lie. The bloody and deceitful man, the Lord will abominate.
8 Ma io per l'abbondanza di tua misericordia, entro nella tua casa, mi prostro verso il tuo santo tempionel timore tuo.	8 But I am in the multitude of your mercy. I will enter your house. I will show adoration toward your holy temple, in your fear.
9 Signore, guidami tu, nella tua giustizia, a cagione de' miei nemici: dirigi tu al tuo cospetto la mia via.	9 Lord, lead me in your justice. Because of my enemies, direct my way in your sight.
10 Perchè non v' è sincerità nella lor bocca, il loro cuore è vano [e maligno],	10 For there is no truth in their mouth: their heart is vain.
11 un sepolcro aperto è la loro gola, con le loro lingue tramano inganni. Giudicali [e puniscili], o Dio: falliscano ne' loro disegni! Per le tante empietà loro disperdili, poichè ti provocano a sdegno, o Signore.	11 Their throat is an open sepulcher. They have acted deceitfully with their tongues. Judge them, O God. Let them fall by their own intentions: according to the multitude of their impiety, expel them. For they have provoked you, O Lord.
12 E si allietino quanti sperano in te, esultino in eterno! E abita tra loro; e si glorino in te, quanti amano il tuo nome!	12 But let all those who hope in you rejoice. They will exult in eternity, and you will dwell in them. And all those who love your name will glory in you.
13 Perchè tu benedici il giusto, o Signore; come d'uno scudo, della tua benevolenza lo cingi.	13 For you will bless the just. You have crowned us, O Lord, as if with a shield of your good will.
