1 - Al corifeo: su flauti. Salmo di David.	1 [For the choirmaster For flutes Psalm Of David] Give ear to my words, Yahweh, spare a thought for mysighing.
2 Alle mie parole presta orecchio, o Signore, intendi il mio grido,	2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God! To you I pray,
3 bada alla voce della mia supplica, o mio re e mio Dio.	3 Yahweh. At daybreak you hear my voice; at daybreak I lay my case before you and fix my eyes on you.
4 Perchè a te inalzo la preghiera, o Signore; la mattina tu ascolti la mia voce.	4 You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil, no sinner can be your guest.
5 La mattina a te mi presentoe guardo [in attesa d'aiuto]. Perchè non un Dio tu sei che si compiace dell'iniquità,	5 Boasters cannot stand their ground under your gaze. You hate evil-doers,
6 nè alloggia presso di te il perfido, nè reggono i ribaldidinanzi ai tuoi occhi.	6 liars you destroy; the violent and deceitful Yahweh detests.
7 Tu odii tutti gli operatori d'iniquità, e disperdi tutti quei che parlan menzogna. L'uomo di sangue e di frodel'abomina il Signore.	7 But, so great is your faithful love, I may come into your house, and before your holy temple bow down inreverence of you.
8 Ma io per l'abbondanza di tua misericordia, entro nella tua casa, mi prostro verso il tuo santo tempionel timore tuo.	8 In your saving justice, Yahweh, lead me, because of those who lie in wait for me; make your way plainbefore me.
9 Signore, guidami tu, nella tua giustizia, a cagione de' miei nemici: dirigi tu al tuo cospetto la mia via.	9 Not a word from their lips can be trusted, through and through they are destruction, their throats arewide -- open graves, their tongues seductive.
10 Perchè non v' è sincerità nella lor bocca, il loro cuore è vano [e maligno],	10 Lay the guilt on them, God, make their intrigues their own downfal ; for their countless offences, thrustthem from you, since they have rebel ed against you.
11 un sepolcro aperto è la loro gola, con le loro lingue tramano inganni. Giudicali [e puniscili], o Dio: falliscano ne' loro disegni! Per le tante empietà loro disperdili, poichè ti provocano a sdegno, o Signore.	11 But joy for al who take refuge in you, endless songs of gladness! You shelter them, they rejoice inyou, those who love your name.
12 E si allietino quanti sperano in te, esultino in eterno! E abita tra loro; e si glorino in te, quanti amano il tuo nome!	12 It is you who bless the upright, Yahweh, you surround them with favour as with a shield.
13 Perchè tu benedici il giusto, o Signore; come d'uno scudo, della tua benevolenza lo cingi.
