1 A Canticle in steps. Blessed are all those who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways.	1 Canto delle ascensioni. Di Salomone. Se il Signore non costruisce la casa, invano vi faticano i costruttori. Se il Signore non custodisce la città, invano veglia il custode.
2 For you will eat by the labors of your hands. Blessed are you, and it will be well with you.	2 E' cosa vana alzarsi di buon mattino e andare tardi a riposare, mangiando pane di sudore: il Signore ne dà il doppio a chi egli ama.
3 Your wife is like an abundant vine on the sides of your house. Your sons are like young olive trees surrounding your table.	3 Ecco, eredità del Signore sono i figli, un premio il frutto del grembo.
4 Behold, so will the man be blessed who fears the Lord.	4 Come frecce nella mano di un prode, così sono i figli della giovinezza.
5 May the Lord bless you from Zion, and may you see the good things of Jerusalem, all the days of your life.	5 Beato l'uomo che di essi ha piena la faretra! Non resterà confuso quando verrà alla porta per trattare con i suoi nemici.
6 And may you see the sons of your sons. Peace be upon Israel.
