Exodus 40

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 El Señor habló a Moisés en estos términos:
2 “In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall raise the tabernacle of the testimony,	2 El día primero del primer mes erigirás la Morada, la Carpa del Encuentro.
3 and you shall place the ark in it, and you shall release the veil before it.	3 Allí pondrás el Arca del Testimonio y la protegerás con el velo.
4 And having brought in the table, you shall place the things which were solemnly commanded upon it. The lampstand shall stand with its lamps,	4 Luego llevarás la mesa y dispondrás sobre ella lo que sea necesario. También llevarás el candelabro y le colocarás las lámparas.
5 and the altar of gold, in which the incense is burned, shall stand before the ark of the testimony. You shall place the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle,	5 Delante del Arca del Testimonio pondrás el altar de oro para el incienso, y a la entrada de la Morada colgarás la cortina.
6 and before it, the altar of holocaust.	6 Después pondrás el altar de los holocaustos delante de la entrada de la Morada;
7 The washtub shall stand between the altar and the tabernacle, and you shall fill it with water.	7 y entre la Carpa del Encuentro y el altar, colocarás la fuente llena de agua.
8 And you shall encompass the atrium and its entrance with hangings.	8 Levantarás el atrio alrededor, y a su entrada colgarás el cortinado correspondiente.
9 And, having taken up the oil of unction, you shall anoint the tabernacle along with its articles, so that they may be sanctified.	9 Luego tomarás el óleo de la unción y ungirás la Morada y todo lo que ella contiene. Así la consagrarás con todo su mobiliario y será una cosa sagrada.
10 The altar of holocaust and all its vessels,	10 Ungirás asimismo el altar de los holocaustos con todos sus utensilios. Así consagrarás el altar, y este será una cosa santísima.
11 the washtub with its base, and all things, you shall consecrate with the oil of unction, so that they may be the Holy of holies.	11 También ungirás la fuente y su base, para que quedan consagradas.
12 And you shall bring forward Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony, and, having washed them with water,	12 Después harás que Aarón y sus hijos se acerquen a la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro y los lavarás con agua.
13 you shall clothe them in the holy vestments, so that they may minister to me, and so that their unction may accomplish an everlasting priesthood.”	13 Luego revestirás a Aarón con las vestiduras sagradas, lo ungirás y lo consagrarás para que sea mi sacerdote.
14 And Moses did all that the Lord had instructed.	14 Posteriormente, harás que también se acerquen sus hijos. Los vestirás con túnicas
15 Therefore, in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was put in place.	15 y los ungirás como ungiste a su padres, a fin de que ejerzan mi sacerdocio. Esto se hará a fin de que la unción les confiera el sacerdocio para siempre, a lo largo de las generaciones.
16 And Moses raised it up, and he positioned the panels as well as the bases and the bars, and he set up the columns,	16 Moisés realizó exactamente todo lo que el Señor le había ordenado.
17 and he stretched out the roof over the tabernacle, imposing a cover above it, just as the Lord had decreed.	17 En el segundo año, el primer día del primer mes, se procedió a la erección de la Morada.
18 And he placed the testimony in the ark, applying the bars beneath, and the oracle above.	18 Para ello, Moisés asentó sus bases, colocó sus bastidores, dispuso sus travesaños y levantó sus columnas.
19 And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it, in order to fulfill the commandment of the Lord.	19 Después extendió la carpa por encima de la Morada, y sobre ella colocó la cobertura de la carpa, como el Señor se lo había ordenado.
20 And he placed the table in the tabernacle of the testimony, at the north side, beyond the veil,	20 En seguida tomó las tablas del Testimonio y los puso en el arca; sujetó las andas en el arca, y sobre ella colocó la tapa.
21 arranging before it the bread of the presence, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.	21 Entonces condujo el arca hasta el interior de la Morada, colgó el velo que la protegía y así cubrió el Arca del Testimonio, conforme a la orden que el Señor le había dado.
22 And he placed the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, away from the table, on the south side,	22 También puso la mesa en la Carpa del Encuentro, sobre el lado norte de la Morada, delante del cortinado,
23 setting the lamps in order, according to the precept of the Lord.	23 y dispuso convenientemente sobre ella los panes de la ofrenda, delante del Señor, como el mismo Señor se lo había mandado.
24 He also positioned the altar of gold under the roof of the testimony, opposite the veil,	24 Luego puso el candelabro frente a la mesa, en el lado sur de la Morada,
25 and he heaped upon it the incense of aromatics, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.	25 y le colocó las lámparas delante del Señor, como el Señor se lo había ordenado.
26 And he positioned the tent at the entrance of the tabernacle of the testimony,	26 Puso asimismo el altar de oro delante del cortinado,
27 and the altar of holocaust in the vestibule of the testimony, offering the holocaust and the sacrifices upon it, just as the Lord had decreed.	27 y quemó en él incienso aromático, como el Señor lo había ordenado a Moisés
28 Likewise, he stationed the washtub between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, filling it with water.	28 A la entrada de la Morada colgó la cortina,
29 And Moses and Aaron, along with his sons, washed their hands and feet,	29 y delante de la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro puso el altar de los holocaustos, sobre el cual ofreció el holocausto y la oblación, conforme a la orden del Señor.
30 whenever they would enter the covering of the covenant, and when they approached to the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.	30 Entre la Carpa del Encuentro y el altar ubicó la fuente y le echó agua para las abluciones.
31 And he raised up the atrium around the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging at its entrance. After all these things were perfected,	31 Moisés, Aarón y sus hijos se lavaron en ella las manos y los pies,
32 the cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord filled it.	32 y siempre que entraban en la Carpa del Encuentro y se acercaban al altar, se lavaban, como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
33 Neither could Moses enter the covering of the covenant: the cloud was covering all things, and the majesty of the Lord was flashing. For the cloud had covered everything.	33 Finalmente, levantó el atrio alrededor de la Morada y del altar, y colgó el cortinado a la entrada del atrio. De esta manera Moisés dio por terminado el trabajo.
34 Whenever the cloud departed from the tabernacle, the sons of Israel set out by their companies.	34 Entonces la nube cubrió la Carpa del Encuentro y la gloria del Señor llenó la Morada.
35 But if it remained hanging over it, they remained in the same place.	35 Moisés no podía entrar en la Carpa del Encuentro, porque la nube se había instalado sobre ella y la gloria del Señor llenaba la Morada.
36 Certainly, the cloud of the Lord lay over the tabernacle by day, and the fire by night, being seen by all the people of Israel throughout all their resting places.	36 En todas las etapas del camino, cuando la nube se alzaba, alejándose de la Morada, los israelitas levantaban el campamento.
	37 Pero si la nube no se alzaba, ellos no se movían, hasta que la nube volvía a hacerlo.
	38 Porque durante el día, la nube del Señor estaba sobre la morada, y durante la noche, un fuego brillaba en ella, a la vista de todo el pueblo de Israel. Esto sucedía en todas las etapas del camino.
