Mark 13

NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 As he was leaving the Temple one of his disciples said to him, 'Master, look at the size of thosestones! Look at the size of those buildings!'	1 І як виходив із храму, каже йому один з його учнів: Учителю, поглянь, що за каміння, що за будівля!
2 And Jesus said to him, 'You see these great buildings? Not a single stone wil be left on another;everything wil be pul ed down.'	2 Ісус же сказав до нього: Бачиш оці будівлі великі? Не лишиться тут каменя на камені, якого б не перевернули.
3 And while he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, facing the Temple, Peter, James, John and Andrewquestioned him when they were by themselves,	3 Як же він сидів на горі Оливній, проти храму, Петро, Яків, Йоан та Андрій спитали його насамоті:
4 'Tel us, when is this going to happen, and what sign wil there be that it is all about to take place?'	4 Скажи нам, коли це буде і який знак, коли все те має здійснитися?
5 Then Jesus began to tel them, 'Take care that no one deceives you.	5 Тоді Ісус почав до них промовляти: Вважайте, щоб ніхто не обманув вас.
6 Many wil come using my name and saying, "I am he," and they wil deceive many.	6 Багато прийде під моїм ім’ям, і вам казатимуть: Це я, — і багатьох зведуть.
7 When you hear of wars and rumours of wars, do not be alarmed; this is something that must happen,but the end wil not be yet.	7 Коли почуєте про війни та воєнні чутки, не тривожтесь, бо це мусить статися, та це ще не кінець.
8 For nation wil fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There wil be earthquakes in variousplaces; there wil be famines. This is the beginning of the birth-pangs.	8 Народ бо на народ повстане, і царство на царство. По різних місцях будуть землетруси, буде голоднеча. Це початок горя.
9 'Be on your guard: you wil be handed over to sanhedrins; you wil be beaten in synagogues; and you wil be brought before governors and kings for my sake, as evidence to them,	9 Зважайте на себе самих: вас видадуть на суди, битимуть по синагогах, ставитимуть перед правителями та царями з-за мене — їм на свідоцтво.
10 since the gospel must first be proclaimed to al nations.	10 А треба, щоб Євангелія була проповідувана спершу всім народам.
11 'And when you are taken to be handed over, do not worry beforehand about what to say; no, saywhatever is given to you when the time comes, because it is not you who wil be speaking; it is the Holy Spirit.	11 І коли вестимуть вас, щоб видати, не клопочіться, що будете говорити, лише кажіть те, що дасться вам на ту годину; не ви бо говоритимете, а Дух Святий.
12 Brother wil betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will come forward against theirparents and have them put to death.	12 Брат видасть на смерть брата, батько — дитину. Діти повстануть на батьків і смерть їм заподіють.
13 You wil be universal y hated on account of my name; but anyone who stands firm to the end wil besaved.	13 І ненавидітимуть вас усі за моє ім’я. Та хто витримає до кінця, — той буде спасенний.
14 'When you see the appal ing abomination set up where it ought not to be (let the reader understand),then those in Judaea must escape to the mountains;	14 А як побачите мерзоту спустошення, що настане там, де їй не слід наставати, — хто читає, хай розуміє! — тоді ті, що в Юдеї, нехай утікають у гори;
15 if a man is on the housetop, he must not come down or go inside to col ect anything from his house;	15 хто на покрівлі, нехай на діл не сходить, ані не входить до своєї хати, щоб узяти щось із неї;
16 if a man is in the fields, he must not turn back to fetch his cloak.	16 а хто у полі, нехай не повертається назад узяти свою одежу.
17 Alas for those with child, or with babies at the breast, when those days come!	17 Горе вагітним і тим, що годуватимуть грудьми у той час.
18 Pray that this may not be in winter.	18 Моліться, щоб це не сталося зимою!
19 For in those days there will be great distress, unparalleled since God created the world, and such aswil never be again.	19 Бо дні ті будуть таким лихом, якого не було від початку світу, що його сотворив Бог, аж понині, і ніколи більш не буде.
20 And if the Lord had not shortened that time, no human being would have survived; but he did shortenthe time, for the sake of the elect whom he chose.	20 І якби Господь не вкоротив тих днів, ніхто б не врятувався; але заради вибраних, що їх вибрав, він укоротив ті дні.
21 'And if anyone says to you then, "Look, here is the Christ" or, "Look, he is there," do not believe it;	21 І коли вам хтось тоді скаже: Ось тут Христос, — абож: Глянь, онде! — то не вірте.
22 for false Christs and false prophets wil arise and produce signs and portents to deceive the elect, ifthat were possible.	22 Постануть бо месії неправдиві та пророки ложні й чинитимуть знаки та чуда, щоб, оскільки можна, одурити вибраних.
23 You, therefore, must be on your guard. I have given you full warning.	23 Ви ж зважайте! Я сказав вам усе заздалегідь.
24 'But in those days, after that time of distress, the sun wil be darkened, the moon wil not give its light,	24 За тих же днів, після того горя, сонце затьмиться, місяць не дасть свого світла,
25 the stars will come falling out of the sky and the powers in the heavens wil be shaken.	25 зорі спадуть з неба, і сили небесні стрясуться.
26 And then they wil see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.	26 І тоді узріють Сина Чоловічого, що йтиме по хмарах з великою силою й славою.
27 And then he wil send the angels to gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the world tothe ends of the sky.	27 Тоді він пошле ангелів і збере своїх вибраних із чотирьох вітрів, від краю землі до краю неба.
28 'Take the fig tree as a parable: as soon as its twigs grow supple and its leaves come out, you knowthat summer is near.	28 Від смоковниці навчіться притчі: Коли віття її стає м’яким і пускає листя, знаєте, що близько є літо.
29 So with you when you see these things happening: know that he is near, right at the gates.	29 Так і ви, коли побачите, що це здійснюється, знайте, що — близько, під дверима!
30 In truth I tel you, before this generation has passed away al these things will have taken place.	30 Істинно кажу вам: Не перейде цей рід, доки усе це не здійсниться.
31 Sky and earth wil pass away, but my words wil not pass away.	31 Небо й земля пройдуть, слова ж мої не пройдуть.
32 'But as for that day or hour, nobody knows it, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son; no one butthe Father.	32 Про день же той чи годину — ніхто не знає: ні ангели на небі, ані Син, — тільки Отець.
33 'Be on your guard, stay awake, because you never know when the time wil come.	33 Глядіть же, чувайте, не знаєте бо, коли той час настане.
34 It is like a man travel ing abroad: he has gone from his home, and left his servants in charge, eachwith his own work to do; and he has told the doorkeeper to stay awake.	34 Як чоловік, що, від’їхавши ген, зоставив свій дім, дав слугам своїм владу й кожному роботу, воротареві ж звелів пильнувати,
35 So stay awake, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming, evening,midnight, cockcrow or dawn;	35 — пильнуйте, отже, і ви, бо не знаєте, коли прийде пан дому, — ввечері чи опівночі, чи як запіє півень, а чи уранці,
36 if he comes unexpectedly, he must not find you asleep.	36 — щоб, коли повернеться несподівано, не застав вас уві сні.
37 And what I am saying to you I say to al : Stay awake!'	37 А що вам кажу, — кажу всім: Чувайте!
