1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David Song] Praise is rightful y yours, God, in Zion. Vows to you shallbe fulfil ed,	1 In fine, (per il) cantico del salmo della resurrezione. Giubilate a Dio ogni terra;
2 for you answer prayer. All humanity must come to you	2 dicete il salmo al nome suo; date la gloria alla laude sua.
3 with its sinful deeds. Our faults overwhelm us, but you blot them out.	3 Dicete a Dio: come sono terribili le tue opere, Signore! nella moltitudine della tua virtù a te mentiranno li nemici tuoi.
4 How blessed those whom you choose and invite to dwell in your courts. We shal be filled with thegood things of your house, of your holy temple.	4 Ogni terra adori te, e te lodi; dica il salmo al nome tuo.
5 You respond to us with the marvels of your saving justice, God our Saviour, hope of the whole wideworld, even the distant islands.	5 Venite, e vedete le opere di Dio; terribile ne' consigli sopra li figliuoli delli uomini.
6 By your strength you hold the mountains steady, being clothed in power,	6 Egli convertì il mare in siccità; il fiume passeranno colli piedi; ivi ci rallegreremo in lui.
7 you calm the turmoil of the seas, the turmoil of their waves. The nations are in uproar, in panic thosewho live at the ends of the earth;	7 Nella sua virtù signorizza egli sempre; risguardano li suoi occhi sopra la gente; coloro che provocano non saranno esaltati in sè stessi.
8 your miracles bring shouts of joy to the gateways of morning and evening.	8 Benedicete, genti, l' Iddio nostro; e fate udire la voce della [sua] laude.
9 You visit the earth and make it fruitful, you fill it with riches; the river of God brims over with water, youprovide the grain. To that end	9 La vita egli ha posto [al] l'anima mia; e non ha dato in moversi li piedi miei.
10 you water its furrows abundantly, level its ridges, soften it with showers and bless its shoots.	10 Imperò [che] noi hai provato, Iddio; col fuoco ha'ne esaminati, come esàminasi l'argento.
11 You crown the year with your generosity, richness seeps from your tracks,	11 Ha'ne lasciati andare nel lacciuolo; ponesti le tribulazioni sopra le spalle nostre;
12 the pastures of the desert grow moist, the hillsides are wrapped in joy,	12 e gli uomini sopra li capi nostri. Passammo per fuoco e per acqua; e ha'ne menati in refrigerio.
13 the meadows are covered with flocks, the val eys clothed with wheat; they shout and sing for joy.	13 Entrarò nella tua casa; con sacrificii a te renderò li voti miei, mia.
	14 che hanno distillato le labbra mie. E nella mia tribulazione ha parlato la bocca
	15 A te offerirò li sacrificii grassi coll' incenso de' montoni; a te offerirò li bovi con li becchi.
	16 Tutti voi che temete Iddio, venite, udite; cantarovvi quante cose egli ha fatto all' anima mia.
	17 A lui gridai colla bocca mia, e mi rallegrai sotto la lingua mia.
	18 Se nel mio cuore ho amato la iniquità, il Signore non mi esaudirà.
	19 Imperò Iddio ha me esaudito, e ha inteso alla voce del mio prego.
	20 Benedetto Iddio, che da me non ha levato la orazione mia e la misericordia sua.
