1 [Song of Ascents] Often as men have attacked me since I was young -- let Israel repeat it-	1 Cantico de' gradi. Dalli luoghi profondi gridai a te, Signore :
2 often as men have attacked me since I was young, they have never overcome me.	2 Signore, esaudi la orazione mia. Siano fatte le orecchie tue da intendere, nella voce della mia orazione.
3 On my back ploughmen have set to work, making long furrows,	3 Signore se tu osservarai le iniquità, Signore, chi le sostenerà?
4 but Yahweh the upright has shattered the yoke of the wicked.	4 Per che appo te è la misericordia; e per la tua legge, Signore, ti ho sustenuto. L'anima mia ha sostenuto nella parola sua;
5 Let al who hate Zion be thrown back in confusion,	5 l'anima mia ha sperato nel Signore.
6 let them be like grass on a roof, dried up before it is cut,	6 Dalla guardia della mattina insino la notte, sperarà Israel nel Signore.
7 never to fil the reaper's arm nor the binder's lap.	7 Per che appresso al Signore è la misericordia; e appresso lui è la abbondante redenzione.
8 And no passer-by wil say, 'The blessing of Yahweh be on you! 'We bless you in the name ofYahweh.'	8 Egli ricompererà Israel da tutte le iniquità
