Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 115

MODERN HEBREW BIBLE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 לא לנו יהוה לא לנו כי לשמך תן כבוד על חסדך על אמתך	1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give the glory, for your faithful love and yourconstancy!
2 למה יאמרו הגוים איה נא אלהיהם	2 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?'
3 ואלהינו בשמים כל אשר חפץ עשה	3 Our God is in heaven, he creates whatever he chooses.
4 עצביהם כסף וזהב מעשה ידי אדם	4 They have idols of silver and gold, made by human hands.
5 פה להם ולא ידברו עינים להם ולא יראו	5 These have mouths but say nothing, have eyes but see nothing,
6 אזנים להם ולא ישמעו אף להם ולא יריחון	6 have ears but hear nothing, have noses but smel nothing.
7 ידיהם ולא ימישון רגליהם ולא יהלכו לא יהגו בגרונם	7 They have hands but cannot feel, have feet but cannot walk, no sound comes from their throats.
8 כמוהם יהיו עשיהם כל אשר בטח בהם	8 Their makers wil end up like them, and al who rely on them.
9 ישראל בטח ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא	9 House of Israel, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
10 בית אהרן בטחו ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא	10 House of Aaron, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
11 יראי יהוה בטחו ביהוה עזרם ומגנם הוא	11 You who fear Yahweh, rely on Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
12 יהוה זכרנו יברך יברך את בית ישראל יברך את בית אהרן	12 Yahweh wil keep us in mind, he will bless, he wil bless the House of Israel, he wil bless the Houseof Aaron,
13 יברך יראי יהוה הקטנים עם הגדלים	13 he wil bless those who fear Yahweh, small and great alike.
14 יסף יהוה עליכם עליכם ועל בניכם	14 May Yahweh add to your numbers, yours and your children's too!
15 ברוכים אתם ליהוה עשה שמים וארץ	15 May you be blessed by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
16 השמים שמים ליהוה והארץ נתן לבני אדם	16 Heaven belongs to Yahweh, but earth he has given to the children of Adam.
17 לא המתים יהללו יה ולא כל ירדי דומה	17 The dead cannot praise Yahweh, those who sink into silence,
18 ואנחנו נברך יה מעתה ועד עולם הללו יה	18 but we, the living, shal bless Yahweh, henceforth and for ever.
