Psalms 92

1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:	1 Salmo. Cântico para o dia de sábado. É bom louvar ao Senhor e cantar salmos ao vosso nome, ó Altíssimo;
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,	2 proclamar, de manhã, a vossa misericórdia, e, durante a noite, a vossa fidelidade,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.	3 com a harpa de dez cordas e com a lira, com cânticos ao som da cítara,
4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.	4 pois vós me alegrais, Senhor, com vossos feitos; exulto com as obras de vossas mãos.
5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.	5 Senhor, estupendas são as vossas obras! E quão profundos os vossos desígnios!
6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.	6 Não compreende estas coisas o insensato, nem as percebe o néscio.
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:	7 Ainda que floresçam os ímpios como a relva, e floresçam os que praticam a maldade, eles estão à perda eterna destinados.
8 But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.	8 Vós, porém, Senhor, sois o Altíssimo por toda a eternidade.
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.	9 Eis que vossos inimigos, Senhor, vossos inimigos hão de perecer, serão dispersados todos os artesãos do mal.
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.	10 Exaltastes a minha cabeça como a do búfalo, e com óleo puríssimo me ungistes.
11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.	11 Meus olhos vêem os inimigos com desprezo, e meus ouvidos ouvem com prazer o que aconteceu aos que praticam o mal.
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.	12 Como a palmeira, florescerão os justos, elevar-se-ão como o cedro do Líbano.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.	13 Plantados na casa do Senhor, nos átrios de nosso Deus hão de florir.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;	14 Até na velhice eles darão frutos, continuarão cheios de seiva e verdejantes,
15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.	15 para anunciarem quão justo é o Senhor, meu rochedo, e como não há nele injustiça.
