1 She reacheth therefore from end to end mightily, and ordereth all things sweetly.	1 Ella dunque aggiugne dalla fine alla fine, e dispone soavemente (e fortemente) tutte le cose.
2 Her have I loved, and have sought her out from my youth, and have desired to take her for my spouse, and I became a lover of her beauty.	2 Io amai costei, e cercaine infino della giovinezza mia; e cercai di torla per mia sposa, e sono fatto amatore della sua bellezza.
3 She glorifieth her nobility by being conversant with God: yea and the Lord of all things hath loved her.	3 L'uso di Dio glorifica la sua nobiltade; e Iddio di tutte le opere amoe lei.
4 For it is she that teacheth the knowledge of God, and is the chooser of his works.	4 Ella è (maestra e) dottrinante della scienza di Dio, e sì è eleggitrice delle opere di colui.
5 And if riches be desired in life, what is richer than wisdom, which maketh all things?	5 E se in la vita amate sono le ricchezze, qual cosa è più ricca che la sapienza, la quale opera tutte le cose?
6 And if sense do work: who is a more artful worker than she of those things that are?	6 Se il senno adopera tutte le cose, qual è di queste cose, che sono, più artefice (di quelle) della sapienza?
7 And if a man love justice: her labours have great virtues; for she teacheth temperance, and prudence, anad justice, and fortitude, which are such things as men can have nothing more profitable in life.	7 E se alcuno ama la giustizia, le operazioni della sapienza hanno in ciò grande virtude; però che insegna temperanza e prudenza, e virtude e giustizia, delle quali nulla è meglio alli uomini nella loro vita.
8 And if a man desire much knowledge: she knoweth things past, and judgeth of things to come: she knoweth the subtilties of speeches, and the solutions of arguments: she knoweth signs and wonders before they be done, and the events of times and ages.	8 E se alcuno desidera grande moltitudine di scienza, sae le cose passate, ed estima di quelle che sono a venire; egli sae le malizie e ingegni delli uomini, e sae dissolvere li argomenti; e sae (gl' ingegni delli uomini e) le cose che debbono venire inanzi che sieno, e li avvenimenti delli tempi e delli secoli.
9 I purposed therefore to take her to me to live with me: knowing that she will communicate to me of her good things, and will be a comfort in my cares and grief.	9 Io mi proposi di menare al mio convito la sapienza, sapiendo ch' ella comunicherae meco dei beni, e sarae uno alleggiamento e conforto del mio pensiero e del mio increscimento.
10 For her sake I shall have glory among the multitude, and honour with the ancients, though I be young:	10 Io hoe per costei claritade appo li popoli, e onore appo li vecchii, giovane.
11 And I shall be found of a quick conceit in judgment, and shall be admired in the sight of the mighty, and the faces of princes shall wonder at me.	11 Acuto (e bene disposto) sarò trovato nel giudicio, e sarò mirabile nel conspetto de' potenti; e le faccie de' principi si maraviglieranno di me.
12 They shall wait for me when I hold my peace, and they shall look upon me when I speak, and if I talk much they shall lay their hands on their mouths.	12 Loro sosteneranno me tacente, e guarderanno me parlante; e porranno la sua mano in su la sua bocca, quando sermoneroe più cose.
13 Moreover by the means of her I shall have immortality: and shall leave behind me an everlasting memory to them that come after me.	13 Per costei avrò immortalitade, e a quelli che saranno dopo me eterna memoria.
14 I shall set the people in order: and nations shall be subject to me.	14 (Io per lei) ordinerò li popoli; e le genti saranno sottoposte a me.
15 Terrible kings hearing shall be afraid of me: among the multitude I shall be found good, and valiant in war.	15 Li re che mi ascolteranno temeranno me, (e temeranno me) li re terribili; e appariroe nella moltitudine buono, e nella battaglia forte.
16 When I go into my house, I shall repose myself with her: for her conversation hath no bitterness, nor her company any tediousness, but joy and gladness.	16 Ed entrando in casa mia, mi riposerò con lei; la sua conversazione non hae amaritudine; il suo convento non ha fastidio, ma letizia e gaudio.
17 Thinking these things with myself, and pondering them in my heart, that to be allied to wisdom is immortality,	17 Pensando queste cose appo me, e commemorando nel cuore mio, che la sapienza è immortale in lo intelletto e conoscimento,
18 And that there is great delight in her friendship, and inexhaustible riches in the works of her hands, and in the exercise of conference with her, wisdom, and glory in the communication of her words: I went about seeking, that I might take her to myself.	18 e che nella sua amistade è buona dilettazione, e che nell' opere delle mani sue sì è (amistade e) onestade sanza difetto, e che nel contendimento del suo parlare è sapienza, e molto grande chiarezza nella comunicazione de' suoi sermoni; io cercando andava d' intorno per tormela.
19 And I was a witty child and had received a good soul.	19 Io era fanciullo ingegnoso, e hoe acquistata buona anima.
20 And whereas I was more good, I came to a body undefiled.	20 E allora che io era più buono, venni allo corpo non corrotto.
21 And as I knew that I could not otherwise be continent, except God gave it, and this also was a point of wisdom, to know whose gift it was: I went to the Lord, and besought him, and said with my whole heart:	21 E quando seppi che io non poteva essere altrimenti continente, se Iddio non lo dà; e che questa medesima cosa era dalla sapienza, per sapere di cui era questo dono; andai a Dio, e pregai lui, e dissi con tutto il mio cuore:
