Psalms 142

1 I have cried to the, O Lord, hear me: hearken to my voice, when I cry to thee.	1 Instruction de David, lorsqu'il était dans la caverne, prière.
2 Let my prayer be directed as incense in thy sight; the lifting up of my hands, as evening sacrifice.	2 De ma voix j'ai crié vers le Seigneur; * de ma voix j'ai supplié le Seigneur.
3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth: and a door round about my lips.	3 Je répands ma prière en Sa présence, * et j'expose devant Lui ma tribulation.
4 Incline not my heart to evil words; to make excuses in sins. With men that work iniquity: and I will not communicate with the choicest of them.	4 Quand mon espoir est défaillant en moi, * Vous connaissez mes voies, Seigneur. Dans la voie où je marchais * ils m'ont tendu un piège en secret.
5 The just shall correct me in mercy, and shall reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner fatten my head. For my prayer also shall still be against the things with which they are well pleased:	5 Je considérais à ma droite, et je regardais, * et il n'y avait personne qui me connût. Tout moyen de m'enfuir m'est ôté, * et nul ne cherche à sauver ma vie.
6 their judges falling upon the rock have been swallowed up. They shall hear my words, for they have prevailed:	6 J'ai crié vers Vous, Seigneur; * j'ai dit: Vous êtes mon espérance, et mon partage dans la terre des vivants.
7 as when the thickness of the earth is broken up upon the ground: Our bones are scattered by the side of hell.	7 Soyez attentif à ma prière, * car je suis extrêmement humilié. Délivrez-moi de ceux qui me persécutent, * parce qu'ils sont devenus plus forts que moi.
8 But o to thee, O Lord, Lord, are my eyes: in thee have I put my trust, take not away my soul.	8 Tirez mon âme de cette prison, afin que je célèbre Votre Nom. * Les justes sont dans l'attente, jusqu'à ce que Vous me rendiez justice.
9 Keep me from the snare, which they have laid for me, and from the stumblingblocks of them that work iniquity.
10 The wicked shall fall in his net: I am alone until I pass.
