| 1 O Senhor disse a Moisés: Agora verás o que eu farei a Faraó: (obrigado) por mão poderosa, deixará sair (os filhos de Israel) (obrigado) por mão poderosa os expulsará da sua terra. | 1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.' |
| 2 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo: Eu sou o Senhor, | 2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh. |
| 3 que apareci a Abraão, a Isaac e a Jacob, como o Deus omnipotente: mas não lhes revelei o meu nome Javé. | 3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem. |
| 4 Fiz aliança com eles para lhes dar a terra de Canaan, a terra da sua peregrinação, na qual foram forasteiros. | 4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens. |
| 5 Ouvi o gemido dos filhos de Israel, que os Egípcios têm oprimido, e lembrei-me da minha aliança. | 5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant. |
| 6 Por isso, dize aos filhos de Israel: Eu sou o Senhor, que vos tirarei de sob o jugo dos Egipcios, vos livrarei da escravidão, vos resgatarei com o braço estendido e com grandes juízos. | 6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement. |
| 7 Farei de vós o meu povo, serei o vosso Deus e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que vos tirarei de sob o jugo dos Egipcios, | 7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians. |
| 8 e vos introduzirei na terra que jurei dar a Abraão, Isaac e Jacob, terra que entreguei ao vosso domínio. Eu sou o Senhor. | 8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." ' |
| 9 Moisés contou tudo isto aos filhos de Israel; eles, porém, não o ouviram por causa da angústia do (seu) espirito e do seu trabalho duríssimo. | 9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery. |
| 10 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo: | 10 Yahweh then said to Moses, |
| 11 Vai dizer a Faraó, rei do Egipto, que deixe partir da sua terra os filhos de Israel. | 11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.' |
| 12 Moisés respondeu na presença do Senhor; Os filhos de Israel não me ouvem; ora, como me ouvirá Faraó, a mim que tenho dificuldade em falar? | 12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?' |
| 13 O Senhor falou a Moisés e a Aarão, e deu-lhes ordens para os filhos de Israel e para Faraó, rei dó Egipto, a fim de tirarem os filhos de Israel da terra do Egipto. | 13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt. |
| 14 Estes são os chefes das casas seguindo as Suas famílias. Filhos de Ruben, primogênito de Israel: Henoch, Faliu, Hesron e Carmi. | 14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben. |
| 15 Estas são as famílias de Ruben. Filhos de Simeão: Jamuel, Jamim, Aod, Jaquin, Soar, e Saul, filho de uma cananeia. Esta é a progénie de Simeão. | 15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon. |
| 16 E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Levi, com as suas descendências: Gerson, Caath e Merari. Os anos da vida de Levi foram cento e trinta e sete. | 16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years. |

| 20 Amrão tomou por mulher a Jocabed, filha de seu tio paterto, a qual lhe deu à luz Aarão e Moisés. Os anos de vida de Amrão foram cento e trinta e sete. | 20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years. |

| 23 Aarão tomou por mulher a Isabel, filha de Aminadab, irmã de Naason, a qual lhe deu à luz Nadab, Abiu, Eleazar e Itamar. | 23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. |

| 27 Este Moisés e este Aarão são aqueles que falaram a Faraó, rei do Egipto, para tirarem do Egipto os filhos de Israel. | 27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron. |
| 28 No dia em que o Senhor falou a Moisés na terra do Egipto, | 28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt, |
| 29 o Senhor disse a Moisés: Eu sou o Senhor; dize a Faraó, rei do Egipto, tudo o que eu te digo. | 29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.' |
| 30 Moisés respondeu ao Senhor: Tenho dificuldade em falar: como ouvirá Faraó? | 30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?' |
