¹ Ao mestre de canto. De Davi. É junto do Senhor que procuro refúgio. Por que dizer-me: “Foge, velozmente, para a montanha, como um pássaro;	¹ Unto the end. A Psalm of David.
² eis que os maus entesam seu arco e ajustam a flecha na corda, para ferir, de noite, os que têm o coração reto.	² I trust in the Lord. How can you say to my soul, “Sojourn to the mountain, like a sparrow.”
³ Quando os próprios fundamentos se abalam, que pode fazer ainda o justo?”.	³ For behold, the sinners have bent their bow. They have prepared their arrows in the quiver, so as to shoot arrows in the dark at the upright of heart.
⁴ Entretanto, o Senhor habita em seu templo, o Senhor tem seu trono no céu. Sua vista está atenta, seus olhares observam os filhos dos homens.	⁴ For they have destroyed the things that you have completed. But what has the just one done?
⁵ O Senhor sonda o justo como o ímpio, mas aquele que ama a injustiça, ele o aborrece.	⁵ The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyelids question the sons of men.
⁶ Sobre os ímpios ele fará cair uma chuva de fogo e de enxofre; um vento abrasador de procela será o seu quinhão.	⁶ The Lord questions the just and the impious. Yet he who loves iniquity, hates his own soul.
⁷ Porque o Senhor é justo, ele ama a justiça; e os homens retos contemplarão a sua face.	⁷ He will rain down snares upon sinners. Fire and brimstone and windstorms will be the portion of their cup.
	⁸ For the Lord is just, and he has chosen justice. His countenance has beheld equity.
