BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Beato è quello uomo il quale non è ito nel consiglio degli empii, e non istette nella via de' peccatori, e non sedette nella cattedra della pestilenza;	1 How blessed is anyone who rejects the advice of the wicked and does not take a stand in the path that sinners tread, nor a seat in company with cynics,
2 ma la sua volontà fu nella legge del nostro Signore, e nella sua legge penserà il dì e la notte.	2 but who delights in the law of Yahweh and murmurs his law day and night.
3 E sarà sì come l' arboro, piantato a lato al corso dell' acque, il quale darà il frutto suo nel tempo suo. E la foglia sua non cadrà, e ciò che farà sarà in prosperità.	3 Such a one is like a tree planted near streams; it bears fruit in season and its leaves never wither, and every project succeeds.
4 Gli empii non saranno di tal maniera; ma saranno come la polvere, la quale il vento rimove dalla faccia della terra.	4 How different the wicked, how different! Just like chaff blown around by the wind
5 E però non risusciteranno gli empii nel (dì del) giudicio, nè li peccatori nel consiglio de' giusti.	5 the wicked will not stand firm at the Judgement nor sinners in the gathering of the upright.
6 Perciò [che] ha conosciuto il Signore la via de' giusti; e la via de' peccatori perirà.	6 For Yahweh watches over the path of the upright, but the path of the wicked is doomed.
