1 וַיָּשָׁב הַמַּלְאָךְ הַדֹּבֵר בִּי וַיְעִירֵנִי כְּאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יֵעֹור מִשְּׁנָתֹו	1 And the angel who had been speaking with me returned, and he awakened me, like a man who is awakened from his sleep.
2 וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי מָה אַתָּה רֹאֶה [וַיֹּאמֶר כ] (וָאֹמַר ק) רָאִיתִי ׀ וְהִנֵּה מְנֹורַת זָהָב כֻּלָּהּ וְגֻלָּהּ עַל־רֹאשָׁהּ וְשִׁבְעָה נֵרֹתֶיהָ עָלֶיהָ שִׁבְעָה וְשִׁבְעָה מוּצָקֹות לַנֵּרֹות אֲשֶׁר עַל־רֹאשָׁהּ	2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I looked, and behold, a candlestick entirely in gold, and its lamp was at its top, and seven oil lamps of it were upon it, and there were seven funnels for the oil lamps that were at its top.
3 וּשְׁנַיִם זֵיתִים עָלֶיהָ אֶחָד מִימִין הַגֻּלָּה וְאֶחָד עַל־שְׂמֹאלָהּ	3 And there were two olive trees upon it: one to the right of the lamp, and one to its left.”
4 וָאַעַן וָאֹמַר אֶל־הַמַּלְאָךְ הַדֹּבֵר בִּי לֵאמֹר מָה־אֵלֶּה אֲדֹנִי	4 And I answered and spoke to the angel who was speaking with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”
5 וַיַּעַן הַמַּלְאָךְ הַדֹּבֵר בִּי וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי הֲלֹוא יָדַעְתָּ מָה־הֵמָּה אֵלֶּה וָאֹמַר לֹא אֲדֹנִי	5 And the angel who was speaking with me answered, and he said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”
6 וַיַּעַן וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי לֵאמֹר זֶה דְּבַר־יְהוָה אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶל לֵאמֹר לֹא בְחַיִל וְלֹא בְכֹחַ כִּי אִם־בְּרוּחִי אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות	6 And he answered and spoke to me, saying: This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying: Not by an army, nor by might, but in my spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
7 מִי־אַתָּה הַר־הַגָּדֹול לִפְנֵי זְרֻבָּבֶל לְמִישֹׁר וְהֹוצִיא אֶת־הָאֶבֶן הָרֹאשָׁה תְּשֻׁאֹות חֵן חֵן לָהּ׃ פ	7 What are you, great mountain, in the sight of Zerubbabel? You are among the plains. And he will lead out the primary stone, and he will give equal grace to its grace.
8 וַיְהִי דְבַר־יְהוָה אֵלַי לֵאמֹר	8 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
9 יְדֵי זְרֻבָּבֶל יִסְּדוּ הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה וְיָדָיו תְּבַצַּעְנָה וְיָדַעְתָּ כִּי־יְהוָה צְבָאֹות שְׁלָחַנִי אֲלֵיכֶם	9 The hand of Zerubbabel has founded this house, and his hands will complete it. And you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.
10 כִּי מִי בַז לְיֹום קְטַנֹּות וְשָׂמְחוּ וְרָאוּ אֶת־הָאֶבֶן הַבְּדִיל בְּיַד זְרֻבָּבֶל שִׁבְעָה־אֵלֶּה עֵינֵי יְהוָה הֵמָּה מְשֹׁוטְטִים בְּכָל־הָאָרֶץ	10 For who has despised the little days? And they will rejoice and will see the silver and lead stone in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are the seven eyes of the Lord, which roam quickly through all the earth.
11 וָאַעַן וָאֹמַר אֵלָיו מַה־שְּׁנֵי הַזֵּיתִים הָאֵלֶה עַל־יְמִין הַמְּנֹורָה וְעַל־שְׂמֹאולָהּ	11 And I responded and said to him, “What are these two olive trees to the right of the candlestick, and to its left?”
12 וָאַעַן שֵׁנִית וָאֹמַר אֵלָיו מַה־שְׁתֵּי שִׁבֲּלֵי הַזֵּיתִים אֲשֶׁר בְּיַד שְׁנֵי צַנְתְּרֹות הַזָּהָב הַמְרִיקִים מֵעֲלֵיהֶם הַזָּהָב	12 And I responded a second time and said to him, “What are the two olive branches, which are next to the two golden ridges, in which are the pouring spouts of gold?”
13 וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי לֵאמֹר הֲלֹוא יָדַעְתָּ מָה־אֵלֶּה וָאֹמַר לֹא אֲדֹנִי	13 And he spoke to me, saying, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”
14 וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלֶּה שְׁנֵי בְנֵי־הַיִּצְהָר הָעֹמְדִים עַל־אֲדֹון כָּל־הָאָרֶץ	14 And he said, “These are the two sons of oil, who attend before the Sovereign of all the earth.”
15 כִּי הַתּוֹרָה מְבִיאָה קָצֶף כִּי בַאֲשֶׁר אֵין תּוֹרָה גַּם אֵין־שָׁם עֲבֵרָה
16 עַל־כֵּן מִתּוֹךְ אֱמוּנָה לְמַעַן לְפִי־חֶסֶד לְמַעַן תִּהְיֶה הַהַבְטָחָה קַיֶּמֶת לְכָל־זַרְעוֹ לֹא לִבְנֵי הַתּוֹרָה לְבַדָּם כִּי־גַם לִבְנֵי אֱמוּנַת אַבְרָהָם אֲשֶׁר הוּא אָב לְכֻלָּנוּ
17 כַּכָּתוּב כִּי אַב־הֲמוֹן גּוֹיִם נְתַתִּיךָ וְהוּא הֶאֱמִין בְּהַבִּיט אֶל־אֵל הַמְחַיֶּה אֶת־הַמֵּתִים וְהַקּוֹרֵא אֵת אֲשֶׁר לֹא־הָיָה כְּמוֹ הוֹה
18 בַּאֲשֶׁר אֵין־תִּקְוָה קִוָּה וַיַּאֲמֵן לְמַעַן אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה לְאַב הֲמוֹן גּוֹיִם כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר כֹּה יִהְיֶה זַרְעֶךָ
19 וְלֹא רָפְתָה אֱמוּנָתוֹ וְלֹא הִתְבּוֹנֵן אֶל־גּוּפוֹ שֶׁכְּבָר נָפוֹג בִּהְיוֹתוֹ כְּבֶן־מְאַת שָׁנָה וְאֶל־בְּלוֹת רֶחֶם שָׂרָה
20 וְלֹא־חָלַק לִבּוֹ בְּהַבְטָחַת הָאֱלֹהִים כַּחֲסַר הָאֱמוּנָה כִּי אִם־הִתְחַזֵּק בֶּאֱמוּנָתוֹ וַיִּתֵּן כָּבוֹד לֵאלֹהִים
21 וַיֵּדַע בְּלֵבָב שָׁלֵם כִּי אֶת־אֲשֶׁר הִבְטִיחַ גַּם־יָכֹל לַעֲשׂוֹתוֹ
22 עַל־כֵּן גַּם־נֶחְשְׁבָה־לּוֹ לִצְדָקָה
23 וְלֹא־לְבַד לְמַעֲנוֹ כְּתוּבָה זֹאת שֶׁנֶּחְשְׁבָה לוֹ
24 כִּי אִם־גַּם לְמַעֲנֵנוּ אֲשֶׁר עֲתִידָה לְהֵחָשֵׁב לָנוּ הַמַּאֲמִינִים בְּמִי שֶׁהֵעִיר אֶת־יֵשׁוּעַ אֲדֹנֵינוּ מִן־הַמֵּתִים
25 אֲשֶׁר נִמְסַר בַּעֲבוּר פְּשָׁעֵינוּ וְנֵעוֹר לְבַעֲבוּר צַדְּקֵנוּ
