1 واما اقسام البوابين فمن القورحيين مشلميا بن قوري من بني آساف.	1 As regards the orders of the gatekeepers: Of the Korahites there was Meshelemiah son of Kore, oneof the sons of Ebiasaph,
2 وكان لمشلميا بنون زكريا البكر ويديعئيل الثاني وزبديا الثالث ويثنئيل الرابع	2 and Meshelemiah's sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel thefourth,
3 وعيلام الخامس ويهو حانان السادس واليهو عيناي السابع.	3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.
4 وكان لعوبيد ادوم بنون شمعيا البكر ويهوزاباد الثاني ويوآخ الثالث وساكار الرابع ونثنئيل الخامس	4 Obed-Edom's sons were: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar thefourth, Nethanel the fifth,
5 وعمّيئيل السادس ويساكر السابع وفعلتاي الثامن. لان الله باركه.	5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peul ethai the eighth; God had indeed blessed him.
6 ولشمعيا ابنه ولد بنون تسلطوا في بيت آبائهم لانهم جبابرة بأس.	6 His son Shemaiah also had sons who wielded authority in their family, because they were men ofoutstanding quality.
7 بنو شمعيا عثني ورفائيل وعوبيد والزاباد اخوته اصحاب بأس. اليهو وسمكيا.	7 The sons of Shemaiah were: Othni, Rephael, Obed and Elzabad, whose brothers Elihu andSemachiah were outstanding men.
8 كل هؤلاء من بني عوبيد ادوم هم وبنوهم واخوتهم اصحاب بأس بقوة في الخدمة اثنان وستون لعوبيد ادوم.	8 Al these were sons of Obed-Edom, who with their sons and brothers were men of standing, wel fittedfor their task. Obed-Edom had sixty-two.
9 وكان لمشلميا بنون واخوة اصحاب بأس ثمانية عشر.	9 Meshelemiah had eighteen outstanding sons and brothers.
10 وكان لحوسة من بني مراري بنون شمري الراس. مع انه لم يكن بكرا جعله ابوه راسا.	10 Hosah, one of the sons of Merari, had sons: Shimri was the first, for although he was not the first-born his father had made him the chief.
11 حلقيا الثاني وطبليا الثالث وزكريا الرابع كل بني حوسة واخوته ثلاثة عشر.	11 Hilkiah was the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: Hosah had thirteen sons andbrothers in al .
12 لفرق البوابين هؤلاء حسب رؤوس الجبابرة حراسة كما لاخوتهم للخدمة في بيت الرب.	12 These orders of gatekeepers, al ocated according to their headmen, had duties, just like theirbrothers, of serving in the house of Yahweh.
13 والقوا قرعا الصغير كالكبير حسب بيوت آبائهم لكل باب.	13 Similarly, they drew lots for each gate, whether their families were large or small.
14 فاصابت القرعة من جهة الشرق شلميا. ولزكريا ابنه المشير بفطنة القوا قرعا فخرجت القرعة له الى الشمال.	14 For the eastern one, the lot fel to Shelemiah; and when they drew lots for Zechariah his son, ashrewd counsel or, his lot came out for the north.
15 لعوبيد ادوم الى الجنوب ولبنيه المخازن.	15 To Obed-Edom went the south, and to his sons the storehouses.
16 لشفّيم وحوسة الى الغرب من باب شلكة في مصعد الدرج محرس مقابل محرس.	16 To Shuppim and Hosah went the west with the Gate of the Fel ed Tree-trunk on the upper road. Thecorresponding guards were as fol ows:
17 من جهة الشرق كان اللاويون ستة. من جهة الشمال اربعة لليوم من جهة الجنوب اربعة لليوم ومن جهة المخازن اثنين اثنين.	17 for the east gate, six per day; for the north gate, four per day; for the south gate, four per day; for thestorehouses, two each;
18 من جهة الرواق الى الغرب اربعة في المصعد واثنين في الرواق.	18 for the Parbar at the west gate, four by the road and two for the Parbar.
19 هذه اقسام البوابين من بني القورحيين ومن بني مراري	19 These were the orders of the gatekeepers of the sons of Korah and the sons of Merari.
20 واما اللاويون فاخيا على خزائن بيت الله وعلى خزائن الاقداس.	20 The Levites, their brothers, who were responsible for the treasures of the house of God and for thetreasures of consecrated gifts,
21 وما بنو لعدان فبنو لعدان الجرشوني رؤس بيت الآباء للعدان الجرشوني يحيئيلي.	21 were the sons of Ladan and belonged to the Gershonites -- the heads of the families of Ladan weredescended from Ladan the Gershonite -- that is to say, the Jehielites.
22 بنو يحيئيل زيثام ويوئيل اخوه على خزائن بيت الرب.	22 The sons of the Jehielites, Zetham and Joel his brother, were responsible for the treasures of thehouse of Yahweh.
23 من العمراميين واليصهاريين والحبرونيين والعزيئيليين	23 Over the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites, and Uzzielites
24 كان شبوئيل بن جرشوم بن موسى وكان رئيسا على الخزائن.	24 was Shebuel son of Gershom, son of Moses, who was governor of the treasures;
25 واخوته من أليعزر رحبيا ابنه ويشعيا ابنه ويورام ابنه وزكري ابنه وشلوميث ابنه.	25 and his brothers of the line of Eliezer were Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichrihis son and Shelomoth his son.
26 شلوميث هذا واخوته كانوا على جميع خزائن الاقداس التي قدسها داود الملك ورؤوس الآباء ورؤساء الالوف والمئات ورؤساء الجيش.	26 This Shelomoth and his kinsmen were responsible for al the consecrated treasures dedicated byKing David, by the heads of families, by the commanders of the thousands and hundreds and by thecommanders of the army,
27 من الحروب ومن الغنائم قدسوا لتشديد بيت الرب.	27 who had dedicated a part of the spoils of war to the service of the house of Yahweh,
28 وكل ما قدسه صموئيل الرائي وشاول بن قيس وابنير بن نير ويوآب ابن صروية كل مقدس كان تحت يد شلوميث واخوته	28 and also for al that Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner and Joab son of Zeruiahhad dedicated. In fact, whatever was dedicated was the responsibility of Shelomoth and his kinsmen.
29 ومن اليصهاريين كننيا وبنوه للعمل الخارجي على اسرائيل عرفاء وقضاة.	29 Of the Izharites, Chananiah and his sons were assigned to secular duties for Israel as officials andjudges.
30 من الحبرونيين حشبيا واخوته ذوو بأس الف وسبع مئة موكلين على اسرائيل في عبر الاردن غربا في كل عمل الرب وفي خدمة الملك.	30 Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his kinsmen, one thousand seven hundred outstanding men werein charge of Israel west of Jordan in everything pertaining to Yahweh and to the service of the king.
31 من الحبرونيين يريا راس الحبرونيين حسب مواليد آبائه. في السنة الرابعة لملك داود طلبوا فوجد فيهم جبابرة بأس في يعزير جلعاد.	31 Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was the head. In the fortieth year of David's reign research was done onthe lineage and relationships of the Hebronites, and men of outstanding quality from among them were found atJazer in Gilead.
32 واخوته ذوو بأس الفان وسبع مئة رؤوس آباء. ووكلهم داود الملك على الرأوبينيين والجاديين ونصف سبط منسّى في كل أمور الله وامور الملك	32 There were twenty-seven hundred outstanding men, heads of families, whom King David put incharge of the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh in al matters pertaining to God and theking.
