1 “Do not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe in me also.	1 «No se turbe vuestro corazón. Creéis en Dios: creed también en mí.
2 In my Father’s house, there are many dwelling places. If there were not, I would have told you. For I go to prepare a place for you.	2 En la casa de mi Padre hay muchas mansiones; si no, os lo habría dicho; porque voy a prepararos un lugar.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will return again, and then I will take you to myself, so that where I am, you also may be.	3 Y cuando haya ido y os haya preparado un lugar, volveré y os tomaré conmigo, para que donde esté yo estéis también vosotros.
4 And you know where I am going. And you know the way.”	4 Y adonde yo voy sabéis el camino».
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”	5 Le dice Tomás: «Señor, no sabemos a dónde vas, ¿cómo podemos saber el camino?»
6 Jesus said to him: “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.	6 Le dice Jesús: «Yo soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida. Nadie va al Padre sino por mí.
7 If you had known me, certainly you would also have known my Father. And from now on, you shall know him, and you have seen him.”	7 Si me conocéis a mí, conoceréis también a mi Padre; desde ahora lo conocéis y lo habéis visto».
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, reveal the Father to us, and it is enough for us.”	8 Le dice Felipe: «Señor, muéstranos al Padre y nos basta».
9 Jesus said to him: “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me? Philip, whoever sees me, also sees the Father. How can you say, ‘Reveal the Father to us?’	9 Le dice Jesús: «¿Tanto tiempo hace que estoy con vosotros y no me conoces Felipe? El que me ha visto a mí, ha visto al Padre. ¿Cómo dices tú: “Muéstranos al Padre”?
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I am speaking to you, I do not speak from myself. But the Father abiding in me, he does these works.	10 ¿No crees que yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre está en mí? Las palabras que os digo, no las digo por mi cuenta; el Padre que permanece en mí es el que realiza las obras.
11 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?	11 Creedme: yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre está en mí. Al menos, creedlo por las obras.
12 Or else, believe because of these same works. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me shall also do the works that I do. And greater things than these shall he do, for I go to the Father.	12 En verdad, en verdad os digo: el que crea en mí, hará él también las obras que yo hago, y hará mayores aún, porque yo voy al Padre.
13 And whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.	13 Y todo lo que pidáis en mi nombre, yo lo haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.
14 If you shall ask anything of me in my name, that I will do.	14 Si me pedís algo en mi nombre, yo lo haré.
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.	15 Si me amáis, guardaréis mis mandamientos;
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give another Advocate to you, so that he may abide with you for eternity:	16 y yo pediré al Padre y os dará otro Paráclito, para que esté con vosotros para siempre,
17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world is not able to accept, because it neither perceives him nor knows him. But you shall know him. For he will remain with you, and he will be in you.	17 el Espíritu de la verdad, a quien el mundo no puede recibir, porque no le ve ni le conoce. Pero vosotros le conocéis, porque mora con vosotros.
18 I will not leave you orphans. I will return to you.	18 No os dejaré huérfanos: volveré a vosotros.
19 Yet a little while and the world will not see me any longer. But you will see me. For I live, and you shall live.	19 Dentro de poco el mundo ya no me verá, pero vosotros si me veréis, porque yo vivo y también vosotros viviréis.
20 In that day, you shall know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.	20 Aquel día comprenderéis que yo estoy en mi Padre y vosotros en mí y yo en vosotros.
21 Whoever holds to my commandments and keeps them: it is he who loves me. And whoever loves me shall be loved by my Father. And I will love him, and I will manifest myself to him.”	21 El que tiene mis mandamientos y los guarda, ése es el que me ama; y el que me ame, será amado de mi Padre; y yo le amaré y me manifestaré a él».
22 Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him: “Lord, how does it happen that you will manifest yourself to us and not to the world?”	22 Le dice Judas - no el Iscariote -: «Señor, ¿qué pasa para que te vayas a manifestar a nosotros y no al mundo?»
23 Jesus responded and said to him: “If anyone loves me, he shall keep my word. And my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and we will make our dwelling place with him.	23 Jesús le respondió: «Si alguno me ama, guardará mi Palabra, y mi Padre le amará, y vendremos a él, y haremos morada en él.
24 Whoever does not love me, does not keep not my words. And the word that you have heard is not of me, but it is of the Father who sent me.	24 El que no me ama no guarda mis palabras. Y la palabra que escucháis no es mía, sino del Padre que me ha enviado.
25 These things I have spoken to you, while abiding with you.	25 Os he dicho estas cosas estando entre vosotros.
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will suggest to you everything whatsoever that I have said to you.	26 Pero el Paráclito, el Espíritu Santo, que el Padre enviará en mi nombre, os lo enseñará todo y os recordará todo lo que yo os he dicho.
27 Peace I leave for you; my Peace I give to you. Not in the way that the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, and let it not fear.	27 Os dejo la paz, mi paz os doy; no os la doy como la da el mundo. No se turbe vuestro corazón ni se acobarde.
28 You have heard that I said to you: I am going away, and I am returning to you. If you loved me, certainly you would be gladdened, because I am going to the Father. For the Father is greater than I.	28 Habéis oído que os he dicho: “Me voy y volveré a vosotros.” Si me amarais, os alegraríais de que me fuera al Padre, porque el Padre es más grande que yo.
29 And now I have told you this, before it happens, so that, when it will happen, you may believe.	29 Y os lo digo ahora, antes de que suceda, para que cuando suceda creáis.
30 I will not now speak at length with you. For the prince of this world is coming, but he does not have anything in me.	30 Ya no hablaré muchas cosas con vosotros, porque llega el Príncipe de este mundo. En mí no tiene ningún poder;
31 Yet this is so that the world may know that I love the Father, and that I am acting according to the commandment that the Father has given to me. Rise up, let us go from here.”	31 pero ha de saber el mundo que amo al Padre y que obro según el Padre me ha ordenado. Levantaos. Vámonos de aquí».
